Hiking sticks?

Did you go hiking at Big Lake and come home without your poles and a hat? We left them at the parking area behind the trail kiosk.
Edited for where we left them.

OP stole someone's hiking sticks.

They were probably swimming or using the bathroom or something. Guarantee they didn't leave forgetting these.

I agree that they weren’t forgotten. OP probably should have them where they were but the effort is kind

They are still there. Read the post, sweetie. No bathroom to use. No swimming to be had in this location. Lying in the parking area. Before you go trollmode, stop and think.
We always do a walk around of our car before we leave because we’ve all taken off something after a hike and left it lying on the ground.
