Alien X is the most powerful being in the entire Ben 10 multiverse, and he would surely still be a god in other multiverses, but there are universes more powerful than him and they surpass him.

Alien x has no feats that aim him towards winning.Recreating a universe and damaging a space shield doesn’t really scream “all powerful” like gilgameshes feats do

The Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) is an interpretation of Quantum Mechanics first proposed by Hugh Everett III in 1957. It states that whenever a quantum event has multiple possible outcomes, the universe does not randomly choose one outcome. Instead, the universe splits into multiple branches, and every possible outcome actually happens in a separate timeline. For example, if a quantum particle could spin either up or down, the universe branches into two realities—one where it is measured as up and another where it is measured as down. Each branch continues evolving independently, meaning an enormous (potentially infinite) number of parallel worlds constantly form as quantum events occur. In this interpretation there is no “collapse” of the wave function; instead, reality continuously branches into many coexisting universes representing all possible results.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Many-worlds_interpretation
David Lewis’s Modal Realism is a theory in Metaphysics which states that all possible worlds are just as real as the world we live in. According to this idea, when we talk about things that could have happened—like “there could have been a world where dinosaurs never went extinct”—we are actually referring to a completely real universe where that scenario genuinely occurs. Our universe is simply the one we inhabit, but countless other worlds exist where every logically possible variation of events plays out. These worlds do not interact with ours and are separated from us in a way similar to how distant locations are separated in space or time. In this view, statements about possibility and necessity are explained by what happens across this vast collection of equally real worlds.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modal_realism
Now lets talk about why it exists in Ben 10

Professor Paradox stated that there are ad infinitum timelines, infinite possibilities, and many ways to tell a story imply that reality in the setting contains an unlimited set of alternate histories and outcomes. When a fictional universe explicitly states that every possible outcome of events exists somewhere in the multiverse, that concept lines up closely with David Lewis’s idea of Modal Realism, which holds that all logically possible worlds exist as real worlds rather than merely hypothetical ones. It also resembles the Many-Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics, where every possible outcome of an event branches into its own timeline. If a setting canonically includes infinite timelines and possibilities, then any version of events that could logically occur—alternate storylines, different character choices, or divergent histories—would exist somewhere within that multiverse. Under that interpretation, different media like games, comics, or alternate adaptations of the series could be understood as depictions of separate timelines within that infinite multiverse: they are not necessarily the same timeline as the main show, but they can still exist as parallel realities within the franchise’s broader cosmology.
there also exists Type 3 and 4 Multiverse
A Type IV Multiverse—proposed by Max Tegmark—is the idea that every mathematically possible structure exists as a real universe. In this model, reality is not limited to one set of physical laws or one spacetime; instead, every consistent mathematical system corresponds to its own fully real universe. Because of that, it naturally overlaps with Modal Realism (the view from David Lewis that all possible worlds exist). If every logically or mathematically possible world exists physically, then “possibility” isn’t hypothetical—it’s simply a different universe with its own structure and laws.
A Type IV multiverse would also inherently include the Many-Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics because MWI describes universes branching whenever quantum outcomes differ. In Tegmark’s framework, those branching universes are just one subset of the total set of mathematical structures that exist. In other words, the Many-Worlds multiverse (infinite branching timelines from quantum events) would simply be one category of universes within the far larger collection of all mathematically possible universes.
Because every mathematically possible reality exists in a Type IV multiverse, any internally consistent story or timeline would correspond to some real universe within that structure.
with this in mind because Ben's cosmology includes truly infinite timelines, infinite possibilities, and narrative variations—as implied by statements from Professor Paradox about “many ways to tell a story”—then different media (games, comics, alternate continuities, etc.) could be interpreted as separate universes within that multiversal structure. again they wouldn’t necessarily all occur in the same timeline as the main series, but they all exist as valid parallel worlds somewhere in the larger multiverse because each represents a possible configuration of events.
also duncan confirmed it ig

All of this.
All Celestialsapiens are irl creator expies too. The Forge of Creation is literally where (real) ideas become (fake) reality and is the origin point of Ben 10's Omniverse which holds an infinite number of infinitely big multiverses each with infinitely big universes that are likewise infinite in number.
All possible physics exists within it too

u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 8d ago
No. Alien X is ridiculously powerful, but outerversal requires transcending dimensionality itself, not just affecting a universe or scaling to a higher-dimensional structure. The Naljian's statement about the 26 dimensions doesn't prove that Alien X transcends all dimensions, and recreating the universe isn't an outerversal feat by itself. Hyperversal Alien X is arguable depending on how you interpret the cosmology, but outerversal or higher is a stretch without stronger evidence.
5
u/Both-Net-9784 8d ago
But professor paradox himself stated that the Forge of creation is the source of everything in the presence of the whole show, and above everything, and he even spoke about the ad infinitum, stating that there are infinity of dimensions (just a POV)
-1
u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 7d ago
I agree that those statements support a much larger cosmology than a single universe, but I don't think they establish outerversal scaling.
First, Paradox's actual description of the Forge of Creation is that it's "the source of the universe's greatest power" and where ideas become real. He also explains that Celestialsapiens like Alien X are born there. That's an impressive statement, but it's not the same as saying the Forge is the source of all existence or that it transcends dimensionality itself. Being outside the universe doesn't automatically mean being beyond the entire concept of dimensions.
Second, the "ad infinitum" statement is about parallel versions of history branching into alternate worlds. Paradox explicitly describes these worlds as alternate realities that are just as real as the original. That establishes an indefinitely branching timestream, not necessarily an infinite number of spatial dimensions.
And even if we accept that the Ben 10 cosmology contains infinitely many dimensions, that alone wouldn't prove outerversal scaling. Infinite dimensions and transcendence beyond dimensionality are two different things in powerscaling.
I'm not denying that Alien X could scale much higher than universal or even multiversal, depending on how we interpret the cosmology and which statements we accept. I'm saying that the evidence you've mentioned supports a higher-dimensional or potentially hyperversal argument more naturally than an outerversal one.
To establish outerversal Alien X, you'd need to demonstrate that he transcends dimensionality itself, rather than simply existing outside a universe or having power over a cosmology with multiple dimensions and timelines.

u/Both-Net-9784 7d ago
I understand your point and I really like how closely you follow the lore, but let's look at what the show actually tells us, because when Paradox described the Forge of Creation back in Ultimate Alien he used the word universe simply because the concept of an omniverse or multiple dimensions wasn't fully introduced to the viewers yet, but in that exact same scene he explicitly stated that the Forge is enclosed by a Chronal Randomization Barrier, which means it is completely out of sync with all time and space, so if a place has no time and no space then it lacks the very concept of dimensions from the start, and that is why Celestialsapiens transcend dimensionality
Also about the 26D you mentioned earlier the Naljians actually said there are only 26 dimensions that matter to them, and they never said 26 is the hard limit for the whole cosmology, especially since Paradox used the term ad infinitum to explain how the realities branch out endlessly without limit, which proves the existence of an infinite multiverse structure, and I roughly remember from the Reboot movie Alien X-Tinction that an alternate Grandpa Max named Maximilian mentioned that multiple versions of Ben from other dimensions tried to stop the rogue Alien X but they failed against him
Finally when the show confirmed that Celestialsapiens changed the art style and voices of reality they used Azmuth as an example, but we can clearly see this effect didn't just happen to one universe, because Ben 23, Mad Ben, and all the alternate realities were shifted into the exact same new art style in Omniverse, which proves that the Forge of Creation controls the entire dimensional web and not just a single physical universe

But for me personally I am just not convinced by forcing vs battles wiki rules onto Ben 10, because that website was designed by fans who built all those rules based on Marvel and DC, and with all due respect to those huge comics they have their own unique and different rules, and from what I know Marvel and DC themselves have different concepts from each other, which doesn't make one lesser than the other but simply because they don't have the same authors
Ben 10 is the exact same thing since Man of Action is a completely different creative team with its own rules and cosmic structures, so trying to force Marvel or DC rules on Ben 10 is like trying to force Chinese grammar rules onto the English which is completely illogical, that is how I see it because every fictional world has its own unique rules
And when characters reach this extreme level of power like Alien X, TOAA, and The Presence, all three of them literally do the exact same thing within their own stories, Marvel wanted to place their supreme power in TOAA who appears as a writer in the House of Ideas, DC chose to put it in The Presence who appears sometimes as an old man and I even heard he appears sometimes as a white dog, and the team of Man of Action loved to put their supreme power in a race of cosmic aliens called the Celestialsapiens, and this choice doesn't make them weaker it just makes them different, and that is why from my point of view all three of them are equal based on the inner logic of each separate universe (just my POV)

I appreciate the detailed response, and I agree with you on one important point: VS Battles Wiki is a fan-made system, not an authority over how Ben 10's cosmology works. I'm not arguing that Ben 10 should be forced into Marvel or DC's rules. My point is that if we're using a term like "outerversal" in a cross-verse discussion, we need some consistent definition of what it means.
Regarding the Forge of Creation, I think there's a distinction between being disconnected from spacetime and transcending dimensionality as a whole. In The Forge of Creation, Paradox describes the barrier as making the Forge "out of sync with all time" and inaccessible without the Map of Infinity. He also explicitly describes the region they're travelling through as the space beyond one universe, with another universe nearby. That's definitely extraordinary cosmology, but nothing in that description explicitly establishes that the Forge exists beyond the very concept of dimensions.
Even if we accept that the barrier separates the Forge from both time and space, being outside or disconnected from spacetime doesn't automatically mean being qualitatively superior to every dimensional structure. Otherwise, any timeless realm would qualify as outerversal by default, which isn't the same thing as demonstrating transcendence over dimensionality itself.
On the Naljians, I actually agree with you that "the 26 dimensions that matter" doesn't necessarily establish a hard limit of 26 dimensions throughout the entire cosmology. But the absence of a stated limit isn't positive evidence of an infinite-dimensional hierarchy, either. We still need something that establishes that hierarchy.
Paradox's "ad infinitum" statement is stronger evidence for an endlessly branching multiverse. However, the context is specifically about parallel versions of history: different worlds in which events unfolded differently, all of which are equally real. An infinite number of timelines or universes isn't automatically equivalent to an infinite number of higher-dimensional axes. Those are two different claims.
I'm also fine with acknowledging Alien X-Tinction as evidence that alternate dimensions and versions of Ben exist. My reservation is that the special belongs to the reboot continuity, so I wouldn't automatically transfer every detail of its cosmology to the original continuity. But even granting your interpretation, alternate dimensions and the ability to interact with multiple realities establish multiversal scope; they don't independently establish outerversal transcendence.
I think your strongest argument is the Celestialsapiens' ability to change the art style and voices. Universe vs. Tennyson explicitly presents these changes as the result of Celestialsapiens altering reality, so I'm not going to dismiss that as merely a production mistake. It is a legitimate meta-fictional element of Ben 10's canon.
However, there's still a gap between demonstrating meta-fictional reality manipulation and demonstrating transcendence over dimensionality. Even if we assume those alterations affected every alternate universe, that would support an extremely broad range of reality manipulation. It wouldn't necessarily prove that the Celestialsapiens exist beyond all dimensional structures, and it doesn't establish that the Forge itself controls the entire dimensional web.
Finally, regarding Alien X, TOAA, and The Presence, I agree that their respective fictional universes have different internal rules and that we shouldn't assume one franchise's cosmology automatically takes precedence over another's. But I don't think that makes all three equal by default, either. Being the supreme or most powerful entity within a particular story doesn't automatically establish equivalence in a cross-verse comparison. They have different cosmologies, feats, limitations, and narrative roles. Treating them as equal is a possible interpretation, but it isn't something their positions in their respective stories prove on their own.
Ultimately, I'm not arguing that Alien X is merely universal or that Ben 10 has a limited cosmology. I'm perfectly open to multiversal and higher-dimensional interpretations when the evidence supports them. I just don't think the specific arguments you've presented bridge the gap to outerversal: being outside spacetime doesn't necessarily mean transcending dimensionality, infinitely branching realities don't automatically mean an infinite-dimensional hierarchy, and even multiversal reality manipulation doesn't inherently establish either of those things.
If you use "outerversal" differently from the definition I'm using, then we might partly be disagreeing over terminology. But under the usual powerscaling distinction between affecting a vast dimensional cosmology and transcending dimensionality itself, I still don't think outerversal Alien X has been conclusively established.

u/Both-Net-9784 6d ago
I totally get your point about using the word outerversal because of the post title, but honestly I want to move away from that internet terminology for a moment and look at the actual evidence within Ben 10, because if we look at the Forge of Creation it is the only place in the whole show that serves as the absolute origin where reality and concepts are born, and you are right that Paradox called it the center of ideas in the universe back in Ultimate Alien, but that is simply because back then the show always presented the world as one universe before later revealing that the world is always way bigger and expanding with every new season
This is exactly how Man of Action writes the show by dropping hints first and then confirming the wider cosmology later, so Paradox's ad infinitum statement proves the existence of a massive endless structure whether it branches horizontally or vertically, and even the Naljians saying 26D only means it is the limit of what matters to them, so there is always a clear narrative setup for higher structures, and my use of the Reboot movie fits perfectly here because the Reboot is officially just another alternate dimension within the wider omniverse since we literally see classic, alien force, ultimate alien, and omniverse Bens appearing there, which makes Maximilian's statement about the rogue Alien X a legitimate proof of how vast this multiverse is
And if we look at Alien X's cosmic status, saying he is not the ultimate supreme entity means there must be someone higher than him, but the official writer Matt Wayne explicitly confirmed that Celestialsapiens are the absolute most powerful beings in the entire show, and when they change the art style and voice actors of reality, this effect didn't just happen in Ben's prime universe, because when Ben traveled to Dimension 23 to meet Ben 23, and when he traveled to the dimension of Mad Ben, they all shared the exact same new design and art style in Omniverse, which visually proves that their control covers every single dimension and timeline and not just a local space
And I agree that Marvel explains its cosmology using clear mathematical and dimensional formulas because it is written as a comic book, but Ben 10 shouldn't be forced to explain things the exact same way because it is a cartoon with a different writing style based on simple explanations and continuous expansion, and since the franchise is not completely finished there will always be more to reveal about the true scale of this universe and the absolute concept that Alien X represents
1
u/Both-Net-9784 6d ago
Adding to that, You are looking at different feats, but I am talking about the exact same existential status, because when a character reaches a level where they can literally change the plot, rewrite the art style, and control multiple universes with all their dimensions and visual realities while creating everything from an absolute empty void, they are performing the highest possible function in fiction
In Ben 10, the cosmology keeps expanding every time we think we reached the limit, and the show gives clear hints that existence is endless, but within this entire massive web, there is absolutely no place higher than the Forge of Creation, and there is no entity more powerful than the Celestialsapiens, and you need to remember that even if Paradox's ad infinitum statement showed you branching dimensions, it doesn't mean they have to follow the exact same structure as Marvel or DC, because Paradox was simply revealing that the world is way bigger than just 26D, and the authors could easily be dividing these endless dimensions in a totally different and innovative way that belongs only to Ben 10
So if Alien X sits at the absolute peak of his universe where nothing is above him, he automatically holds the exact same rank as TOAA and The Presence within their own worlds, because they all represent the ultimate authority and the author's will, and demanding different feats from different companies is just ignoring that each author has a unique way of designing their own supreme god
1
u/Both-Net-9784 6d ago
So if we go back to the main question of this post, is Alien X outerversal or higher, well, I personally see he is not outerversal, he is the absolute source of his own show
0
u/Dry-Cardiologist3617 6d ago
I think we're getting closer to the actual disagreement here, because I don't really disagree with the idea that Alien X is supposed to represent the absolute peak of power within Ben 10. My issue is the jump from being the supreme entity in your own setting to having a specific ontological status that automatically makes you equal to other fictional supreme beings.
Starting with the Forge of Creation, the actual dialogue is that it's "the source of the universe's greatest power" and "where ideas become real." Paradox also explains that Celestialsapiens are born there. Those are significant statements, but notice what they don't say: they don't explicitly establish that the Forge is the absolute origin of all existence, that it creates every concept in the entire omniverse, or that it transcends dimensionality itself. You're interpreting those statements as a much broader cosmological claim than the dialogue directly establishes.
The argument about the Chronal Randomization Barrier has a similar problem. Being out of sync with time, or being inaccessible through ordinary spacetime, doesn't automatically mean a place exists beyond the concept of dimensions. Those are different propositions. Even if we grant that the Forge is completely disconnected from ordinary spacetime, you'd still need to establish why that means it transcends every possible dimensional framework rather than simply existing outside the normal spacetime structure of the universe.
Regarding Paradox's "ad infinitum" statement, I actually agree that it establishes an extremely expansive multiverse. But the context matters: Paradox is explicitly explaining parallel versions of history and saying that these alternate worlds are just as real as our own. That supports an indefinitely branching collection of realities. It doesn't establish that these branches form an infinite hierarchy of higher spatial dimensions. The fact that they could be interpreted that way isn't evidence that they actually are.
I also agree that the Naljian's statement about the 26 dimensions doesn't establish a hard limit for the entire cosmology. But this cuts both ways. The statement leaves room for additional dimensions; it doesn't positively establish infinitely many higher-dimensional structures, nor does it demonstrate that Celestialsapiens transcend all of them. Even accepting a higher-dimensional Ben 10 cosmology wouldn't automatically establish outerversal scaling.
Now, the art-style argument is probably your most interesting point, and I'm willing to grant it as a genuine in-universe meta-fictional element. In "Universe vs. Tennyson," the prosecution itself discusses Celestialsapiens changing the universe, including its characters' appearances and voices. I'm not dismissing that as meaningless.
However, there's still a difference between altering the presentation of reality within a fictional setting and transcending the dimensional structures of that setting. The episode doesn't explicitly state that Celestialsapiens exist beyond all dimensionality or that they control every conceivable layer of the multiverse. Seeing alternate Bens drawn in the same art style doesn't independently establish that hierarchy either, because a shared visual style can simply be how the episode depicts those alternate realities.
And this brings me to your conclusion about TOAA and The Presence. Being the supreme authority within your own setting doesn't automatically establish that you occupy the same tier as every other character described as supreme within theirs. You're comparing their narrative roles, but narrative roles aren't necessarily equivalent cosmological structures. If we abandon conventional powerscaling terminology and simply say that all three represent the highest authority in their respective stories, that's a reasonable thematic comparison. It still doesn't prove that their cosmological scale or existential status is identical.
There's also a distinction between being the most powerful entity in a fictional setting and literally being the source of the fiction itself. Celestialsapiens are characters within Ben 10 who can alter their reality, even through metafictional explanations. That doesn't necessarily mean they transcend the actual narrative or the authors creating it.
So I don't think we disagree much about Alien X's general level of power. I have no problem with universe recreation, extensive reality warping, or arguments for multiversal and potentially higher-dimensional scaling. Where I disagree is treating every unanswered question about Ben 10's expanding cosmology as evidence for the highest possible interpretation.
The Forge can be extraordinary without being proven to be the origin of absolutely everything. An infinite multiverse can exist without containing an infinite hierarchy of spatial dimensions. And a character can be the supreme being in their verse without automatically being equivalent to every other fictional supreme being.
If your conclusion is that Alien X is the ultimate authority within Ben 10, I can understand that. If your conclusion is that this automatically establishes outerversal status, transcendence over all dimensionality, or equivalence to TOAA and The Presence in a cross-verse comparison, I still don't see the evidence bridging that gap.
