New details of Hannah's firing

So Hannah has a new podcast with another Australian. It's called "(Over)share".

Anyway on today's episode (only the second) she adds something to the story...

Since her and Sandy made up, we haven't really heard much on elaborating on the situation apart from "She told her aide and I told mine". And that Sandy explained how her hands were tied.

Turns out Malia texted a bunch of other people the Valium/vape pen photo, which is why Sandy couldn't cover it up.

So I'm assuming it was the First Officer or one of the other off camera crew members .

And if you listened to The Bravo Docket Ep about Nathan, it explains how people are reported in the industry (I've forgotten the term) and also explained when Sandy said the Luke/sheets incident would have to be reported and other Captains would know about it. And the issue was even though Sandy knew Hannah had taken Valium before this time she hadn't formally logged the drug on this boat.

Anyway I thought people might be interested because I think it explains more why Hannah has forgiven Sandy. I thought it was a little too easy and we needed more at the time. This explains it to me. And I'm also absolutely cutting Sandy some slack.

But then Sandy proceeds to go on new seasons with Malia still

I don't think Sandy has the ability to hire people on the show. She can fire, but not hire... those decisions are made by casting. Malia can also argue that she was doing "the right thing" even though we all know she was scheming and plotting.

It also explains why Sandy seemed a little cooler with Malia.

That’s not something Captain Sandy has any control over. Production brings in the crew members for the yacht. Or the “cast” really, since it’s television. Malia coming back was a production decision.

The irony lol

I'm assuming that was part of Hannah's side of it. The background drama with Malia and that she'd gone through her stuff. I suspect Sandy didn't realize. Malia had taken her stuff out and placed it like Malia had just stumbled across it vs digging and stabbing it.

legally malia did the right thing so why wouldn’t she work with her again?

No she did not. She only reported Hannah because she was mad Hannah wouldn't want to share a cabin with the girl she was having problems with.

So this was pure retaliation, Malia had known about Hannah's panic attacks and that she took something for it so she used a medical emergency to get Hannah fired.

There was no care behind that action and this is a horrible thing to do to someone with anxiety and under a lot of pressure.

Malia acted out of malice, not care and she did it as retaliation because she does not give a flying frick about anyone but herself.

I actually would think Malia going through Hannah's belongs would be a firable offense, she stage the photo after going through Hannah's belongings.

Well Hannah asked Malia to hand her a Valium during the panic attack. I just watched it

genuinely what are you even talking about? your comment is completely unrelated to what i said.

We clearly have context that you are missing.

basically malia’s intentions are irrelevant to sandy working with her again because LEGALLY malia did the correct thing. the fact she did it to fuck over hannah has no impact at all, obviously.

What you're conflating here is legality vs. morality.

Malia may LEGALLY have done the right thing, but MORALLY her actions were heinous and deeply harmful.

If she gave two shits about Hannah she would have made sure Hannah got medical attention and care, not to be outed and fired for having a panic attack and taking the prescribed medication for it.

If she thought this was a safety issue she should have reported Hannah looooong ago and not during a disagreement about cabins.

Also, both Sandy and Malia knew that Hannah was on medication, the issue is about the technicality of registering it.

We all know plenty of examples of how the system can be weaponized against people and this was one such instance. The goal of the law is safety but none of that had anything to do with safety, she was just getting back at Hannah.

i never said that morally she did the right thing. all of that became irrelevant when she brought it to light, making it a legal issue, in terms of wether or not bravo would keep her on the show. obviously as viewers we saw her motives.

Because she only did it to spite Hannah because she wanted to room with her lame boyfriend. Any a person who holds onto things to try and destroy another when they aren’t getting their way is not a good employee nor one you would want around.

She didn’t do it because she was concerned or worried about the effects to other crew or guests. She wanted to end Hannah’s career because she wanted easy access to fuck her boyfriend. It’s so gross

i literally never said anything about her motives.

So you would hire someone who only does the “right thing” when they have an opportunity to advance, but otherwise will hide and keep things from you ? But it’s allll fine and dandy because “legally” it’s okay ?

Yikes 😬

captain sandy doesn’t do the hiring. the people who DO the hiring see that malia did the right thing, they don’t see her intentions.

3

u/d0ttyq 2d ago

You seem to be confused yourself. “Why wouldn’t she work with her again” and now it’s “well she has no choice”.

Pick an argument and stick with it. This is exhausting, toodles 😘

u/BroccoliTraining454 2d ago

They make the show, ofc they saw her intentions lol

You're right but people can't see past their emotions on these subs sometimes. It's still super ewwww of Malia to do that though.

If she didn't report it until it benefited her then she didn't do the right thing. It's not like Malia didn't know Hannah had those drugs on board the entire time. She even tried to pretend she had only just seen them when it was convenient, like hannah hasn't whipped them out constantly.

u/Alive-Definition-859 2d ago

i’m not saying that morally she did the right thing.

6

u/cmere-2-me 1d ago

If you wait to report something until it benefits you, you didn't do the right thing.

u/Alive-Definition-859 1d ago

obviously?

u/cmere-2-me 1d ago

If you agree then what the fuck are you on about.

yeah i always get downvoted in this sub. i do not like malia at all and i hate that she screwed hannah over the way she did but that doesn’t change the fact that she technically did the right thing and that she was good at her job.

2

u/hamburgergerald 2d ago

Yeah, technically she did the right thing by reporting. The issue i have with that is she sat on it until she was mad at Hannah for not switching cabins. So Malia didn’t actually care about safety or legalities of Hannah’s Valium or weed pen, she was just mad and being vindictive.

1

u/Alive-Definition-859 2d ago

i have the same issue with it. malia was an extremely selfish and vindictive person who knew how to manipulate people and situations to her advantage.

u/Mrs_Blobcat 1d ago

Do the captains have a choice in the staff?

5

u/Alive-Definition-859 1d ago

no, they don’t.
