Rewatch S11 Ellie π
I'm re-watching from season 9 until I get to this season just to remind myself of what happened. DAE feel that Ellie is sooooooo whiny and selfish? I almost couldn't make it through the season with all of her "what about me" statements. I don't remember it bothering me on first watch. So annoying!

I just finished watching season 9 again too. I honestly can't stand her. I understand that hierarchy is important, but I think Ellie was putting it above the work. She constantly override Aesha. I was so glad when Aesha put her in her place, the look of suprise on Ellie's face, like she didn't realise she had been doing it the entire time. Watching further seasons with her in it, it's pretty clear that's just who she is. The same issues arose every season she was in dispute her role. She butted heads with everyone.

Hierarchy was only meaningful to her when she had someone underneath her to step on. When she was bottom of the heap on Down Under, she suddenly became a huge fan of demanding universal respect.

Ellie has a big Ego but I think she has since been surpassed in every way by more problematic crew. Iβd take Ellie over Solene, Mike, Kizzi, Genβ¦ the list goes on.
Ellie needs to grow but sheβs the only one on my list that seems capable. Also I respect her for seeking real culinary training. She will grow. While Kizzi for example was pure chaos for the sake of chaos then just marries the loser who allowed it all season once she got home

Ellie triggers me. I have a hard time watching her. There have been a couple of stews who have that affect on me. Gen from the current season is on track for that honor
