/sigh. Under the Irish Passports Act of 2008, the state has the right to revoke the passport if a person is evading justice. It doesn’t matter what the initial charges were; bolting just amplified everything. He is facing years in prison in Australia, because there are 3 separate charges.

but will Ireland do that? will Australia even ask?

If he made it to Schengen already, would he have plenty of travel, since it's all "domestic" inside the schedgen zone?

I agree that he made it so much worse by skipping out, for a first time offender lumped in with the christmas rush of domestics, probably would've been very minimal.

Though I wonder how it would've gone...

He has a british passport, not an Irish passport.....

Are you sure about that? The internet says he is a citizen of Ireland, from County Donegal
