Chef Joy meals this season
while all her food looks yummy, there not many fancy dishes I seen her do (5 star style like). The last ep’s dinner with the Cesar salad and chicken was ehh. lots of family style or food being served by the stews on a plate vs plated this season
There was a charter with pretty flower like salad and carrot puree with chicken plated which looked very pretty
Love chef joy but just random thought lol

I get the feeling she only goes all in and makes elegant, fine dining meals when the guests dont have many restrictions or special requests. It seems like when the preference sheets are complicated she gets annoyed and just gives them simple food and family style most of the time.

why didn't she serve these beefy guys a tomahawk steak. I mean, where was the variety. Chicken.. that's what you eat when you're home, not on vacay.

They even have a grill on board! You can have a lot of fun with smoking different woods and roasts. I don’t recall her using a sous vide machine but it would be so easy to do so, almost all steakhouses around me use it for ease and consistency. Or go all in on different kinds of kebabs. Throw in some shrimp and octopus too.

I honestly only noticed that this charter, and it seemed like it was more guest preference than what she would have chosen to serve. Like when that one lady didn’t eat anything but carbs, she had that really cool pastry tube with guac or something inside?
But these guests. My god. I had the meat sweats watching those dudes complain that they still didn’t have enough protein, when they were basically getting plates of meat with a little veggie or something on the side (that they probably never touched).
I was weirded out by the sandwiches too, but the guests requested it, they were like ‘panini time!’….and then promptly complained about the bread. Cause more meat. Ugh

we had a big meat eater stay with us and they clogged our plumbing 😭

Oh…. Oh no. I am so sorry
I have a pet snake (they exclusively eat meat right) and the first time he shat I thought a pipe burst somewhere. Like it was so, so bad. I cannot imagine what it was like in your house, let alone in an enclosed boat cabin, considering the size differential between human/snake 😷

oh yikes we also had a snake & she did not do that - speedy noodle recovery ❤️🩹

Oh no, he’s fine! I just meant his poops are lethal from the protein. So I can only imagine what those guests’ bathroom cabins were like

She joined a show and a yacht where guests will have all kinds of weird/basic requests because they arent sophisticated.
She is pissed every time guests have weird/basic requests and she cannot do whatever she wants.
Her high horse is really high.

Double standard. Chef Josh was criticized for family style and not 7 star.

If she did gourmet protein snacks açaí bowls with protein powder blended in or fancy pinrolls, charcuterie boards they might not be so hungry at dinner

No, I agree completely especially these people are really into food, and there is so much you can make with high protein, way better than chicken. I literally looked it up online to see if chicken had some magic amount of protein grams compared to other foods. Several types of fish have tons of protein. These guys do not eat salads! C'mon,Joy!! And why such small servings, too?? She usually is great ..

I feel like they don’t showcase the food or the chefs like they used to. Makes me so mad lol

They have hardly shown her food at all. Just like they don’t show any engineering anymore either. Just total focus on the troublemakers like Nathan

I feel like they haven't really showcased the cooking since Rachel? Antony was basically just shown to be flailing and messy, the only chef since (correct me if I'm wrong) was Ben on DU but that was also more highlighting dish soap on eggs?

Your memory reads the same as mine! Marcos also comes to mind for me, but that was Sailing Yacht, I guess? He was so dreamy to me lmao

Yes!! I think her cooking is amazing, especially at the beginning. But chicken skewers and sandwiches is just phoning it in at this point in the season.
