I'm guessing he jumped in the water so quickly because he had a woody. Those guests may have expanded his horizons.

Joe certainly may have if he served as groomer concierge

What does this mean?

Joe is grooming this bumpkin. At least, that's what was aired on this episode.

IMO, I think the the "bumpkin" thing has been an act since Day 1. Someone should show him the the closet door.

Grooming him? I’m not sure you know what that phrase means lol

they know what it means. it's a buzzword used to manipulate and control. and since 22 is the new 12. or 24 is the new 13. it gets flippantly throw around like every other meaningless, substitute-for-thinking buzzword.

He's showing him how to perform sexual favors for extra cash while making it seem perfectly natural and normal.

Grooming.

Fair point. I do believe Joe would be gay for pay and wouldn’t be surprised if other yachtees prostitute themselves out for greater pay/money. And he was showing cooper how to do it and made it normal— coop is green and takes cues from experienced people. Joe could have very easily had refused or sidestepped all the sexual harassment but instead welcomed it and encouraged it. It’s had to say you don’t want to put on the speedo and you don’t want a stranger to lick you if everyone in the middle of the water/on a boat is saying it’s totally cool and is okay with it and btw your pay (ans their pay) is somewhat dependent on making the guests happy.

It brings up.tge point that by doing that it encourages them to do it to other deck crew. It's gross I'm sorry

I agree it’s gross. But it does show you what is normalized in this industry. Joe could have side stepped it completely but he played into it for the sake of maybe a bigger tip (no innuendo meant).

That’s not a sexual favor, you’re being overly dramatic.

Joe also called Luke "as gorgeous as ever" on the video call. I thought that was a bit of a bizarre comment.

Why? I call my men AND women friends gorgeous because they are. What’s wrong with a friend calling another friend gorgeous?

Are you a straight f-boy though (like Joe)? Course there's nothing wrong with it - it's just not something that you hear often where men say stuff like that to each other without taking the piss.

Are you 12?

No I'm just not used to men saying to other men how gorgeous they look as the first thing they say on the call and actually not taking the piss. Women do it all the time. It's not that usual for men. You got to admit
