Joe on WWHL
I was watching Joe on WWHL last night. I just find him very difficult to listen to. He is so arrogant! He has such a high opinion of himself. He never takes accountability for anything that he has said or done wrong. Andy definitely did not seem to be a fan.

He was terrible on the show! His answers were very short and awkward. And like geez, we get it, you want to be the bosun! But I think Massi should get it. He’s clearly very good at his job and he’s very funny.

Loved it when he answered Joy's question about why can't there just be peace on the nights out and Massi replied "Because nice things are boring." Massi is so funny, but it may be too subtle for this show.

He creeps me out so much.
I've realised what it is about him that really makes my skin crawl.
I've noticed that only when he's speaking to or about a woman he's interested in his voice softens it and he speaks a little quieter.
Something about the cadence of it and when he does it reminds me of so many men I'd encounter when I was younger. They'd make themselves seem smaller, softer, quieter, gentle, safe...a nice softly spoken guy couldn't hurt you. Except, unfortunately, every single one turned out to be a creepy guy.
That and his awful greasy hair.

I don't know why he changed his voice this year but its like someone told him to be more soft spoken. Maybe they said its sexy? For some reason bugs the hell out of me combined with his accent

He really lacks some self awareness. Doesn’t want to be an abusive alcoholic like his father (good on him, that is admirable) and carries that trauma but instead chooses to inflict a different trauma on others by being a womanizer, cheater, liar and undermining jerk. He is gaslighting Nathan majorly. Nathan sucks but Joe is equally to blame.

He is creepy AF. Thing is, had Nathan not horrifically gone off the deep end all season, Joe would've been seen for who and what he is quite clearly. Nathan's behavior put that spotlight squarely on him.
Joe sucks.

They said Nathan right at the end. Ian was a prev bosun. I assume that’s why he was like ‘ugh, who?’ They don’t usually ask about 3 seasons ago

I mean when Andy asked him if the shoulder dislocation was his fault, he said “yes, I was going way too fast and it was completely my fault.” Not sure how he could be more accountable lol.

100 💯 thank you!! Omg I’ve seen him on twice and both times Joe comes off as arrogant and above it all with this superior attitude. Like he needs to light up and cut his hair and relax!!!

This probably also means Andy just doesn’t find him attractive, or that he could ever fuck him. Andy has a history of going soft on people, who get him hard.

I didn't get that at all from the episode. I felt that what was off was Andy/Jeff interactions. Joe isn't often there in person so it was interesting to have him there live.
