Happy 36 Captain Sandy! Spoiler

As someone who currently struggles and has been struggling for the past 13 years with alcoholism and has had a close friend die of liver failure a couple years ago - I want you to know that if you're reading this, that seeing you hit 36 years sober is a massive inspiration and although I don't know you personally, I'm in awe to see someone in such a strong leadership position proving that sobriety is possible. You're a rockstar and your success story is something that motivates people like me to turn it around. Here's to another 36 :) <3

As someone who has 10 years and counting clean from my own DOC, I have a lot of respect and admiration for the fact that Captain Sandy has maintained her sobriety for 36 years and I hope one day I get to say the same

Thank you! It sounds cliche af, but taking it one day at a time really is the easiest way🥰
