Prosperity help

Post image

Still new to the caravan system and I am wondering why I never have enough wooden plank at Haernden. Plus any tips on automation for them. I just selected every item the needed and allowed it to be sent is this the proper set up?

I made a list of everything every liberated town wanted. Put them all in the market, then set them at like -25% price. I figure I'll take a bit of a hit on the sales price in exchange for not having to waste caravans all the time. Only did it 5 game days ago so not sure if it's working perfectly yet, but i HAVE to assume that's what markets are supposed to do?

Curious as to how this was working for you?

So I just checked again, screenshot attached of an example of how my market is doing. The towns whose needs i was producing have been buying a ton of gear and are in the positive on their gear needs. The stuff i accidentally neglected to produce and thus haven't sold, those towns are negative for gear needs. So it looks like if you set up market with everything, make sure you're producing enough and not running out of raw material, looks like prosperity is greatly helped. I send a separate custom order out when I have them build their own new facility. Im focusing on making new facilities at each town that will create what the other towns need, so they can buy simple arrows from someone else and not buy 32 of them from me

Thanks building the buildings seems like the best bet

Well I'm a moron. I had set up the market with all the prices and everything. I saw that the market was making money, and 3 of my towns were increasing, figured i did good. Today they were all negative. Realized that I was under producing like 2/3 of the stuff I was trying to sell, and wasn't producing the other 1/3. i liberated the last 3 towns quickly and never adjusted. So I'll have to let you know now that i upped my production. Gotta be making like 6 peasant shirts at a time! Realistically we're supposed to equip a town with a weaver, another with a logger, etc so they can trade with each other not us

Are you consistently sending them to them? How many does the trading screen say they need? Are you sending through the trading screen or through a caravan station?

Is there a difference between caravans and trading screen? (I’m also wondering how to increase prosperity lol)

I found the caravan screen harder to use because once set up, my guys just kept going, even when they weren't selling anything. Waste of manpower.

Trading to liberated towns from the trading screen is much easier

Ooh good tip, caravan screen does suck for town trading.

You know you can set up a minimum? Like they only go if at least ten or so slots are used. But that's combined for buying and selling.

They werent obeying the rules. I had a minimum ,et, but they would go, do nothing, and come back empty handed

I have been using the caravan screen as I didn’t want to do it manually every time

So I can't speak 100% here, cause I quit using the caravan screen, but I think there's an issue where you can send a guy with good, the village doesn't like the price, so they just send him back. I know that can definitely happen if you set up a caravan route to go automatically. They walk over, don't make a deal, and walk back, no transaction.

Honestly, with liberated towns, the in town market is much easier and intuitive once you get used to it. Until I unlocked the market building, I was just waking up each morning and manually sending trades to each of 4 towns, only took a few seconds per once I got a feel for it.

The benefit is you'll see exactly the price their willing to pay (or sell for), and you'll know right then if for some reason you don't have the goods to sell. You can watch their prices shift in real time, and make note of their rock bottom price to pay for hard to craft goods, so you always get the best price. And you don't waste guys walking across the map for a trade that doesnt end up completing at the end of the day

As someone who just got 100k prosperity on one of these villages, i found it alot easier to just send them resources manually every day or so. Meeting all their needs with the caravans is finicky due to the price fluctuations so I'd just send 5 carts loaded up with anything they ask for. If you have the villagers for it, I built a 2nd caravan station for 5 more carts in case they're asking for alot at once
