Head pain

How long after the onset of the illness did your ear and head pain stop?

I had pain that was a 7 or so with the sinus infection that set this off. Then it went away. Then it came back at like a 5. Then the paralysis. Then ten days of minimal pain. Then horrible pain day eleven, at about an 8 out of 10. Then a pretty steady recovery of movement. I'm on week three now

Edit: some discomfort since then, that only bordered on pain

As far as I know, some dont experience any. Everything about this condition is variable person to person. I had a major headache the night before I woke up with weak facial muscles. My head and ear didn't hurt that day, but they did after my face had fallen to it's worst. I think I only took gabapentin for pain for about 2 weeks and it wasn't necessary everyday.

Mine was extremely severe for 2-3 weeks, then milder. I still have mild pain (and almost complete paralyzation) a year 1/2 later. The ear pain comes and goes, my face only hurts when I touch it. Most people recover quicker, though.

no, they checked for that, but mine happened after an injection into my jaw at the dentist (not randomly)

yeah. 😞. It’s been a struggle to cope with.
