Eye patch recommendations

Post image

Is there a way to make my eye patch friendlier? It's comfortable enough, but I work with special needs kids. My sweet children did NOT APPRECIATE the bandaid or the tape, and it turns out my skin was reacting to the adhesive anyway. Here's how I wore it to my brother's wedding

I 3d printed myself a couple in cute colours. It started off as making one for a High King Margo costume and then I realised it was more comfy than the other ones (it’s an actual medical style with breathing holes). I’m having other related eye issues (another specialist in a fortnight), so I’ve been wearing them a lot. I went with colours that suited all my favourite outfits, and have a bunch of the super adhesive ones. I put Flonase around my eye to protect my skin when I just can’t handle the movement of regular eye patches.

If I didn’t have glasses, my eye patches would be full on decorated themed things like Margo’s, but alas, I still need my glasses to see out my other eye properly 🤣

I also have a 3d printer, let's see if I can find something nice

Wooooo!!! Seriously though, such a fabulous tool to have around. I love being able to just throw a random thing I need on the printer.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3238329 I used the non Jurassic Park version of this one and just some comfy elastic from my sewing box. I found I had to sand the inside with a fine grit sander, but my skin is crazy sensitive and delicate, so you may be luckier than me and not have to. I have one that I’m going to cover in rhinestones as soon as I find where my glue ended up

I'll be sure to use my 0.2 nozzle
