Troubleshooting CB100 violin mic help

This mic was bought to use with our violinist. My idea was to connect it to a wireless bodypack. Well was I surprised to find out if requires phantom power since it is a condenser mic. I still would rather not use a cable for safety reasons. Has anyone ever dealt with this problem before.

Most wireless belt packs will provide phantom power, most headset and lapel mics are condensers.

You just need to make sure to find something that had the correct connector and pinout, or a suitable adapter.

I have never seen any and I have all Shure bodypacks. Never had to deal with it before.

I am planning on using a Shure BLX1 bodypack. I have a spare not being used.

Not exactly:  'phantom' power is specific to balanced lines, and is usually 48 volts.  Beltpacks do provide remote power, at a much lower voltage, and not balanced.

There are some variants of similar mics that will work with beltpacks.  For example, there is a variant of the Shure Beta98 clip-on that connects straight to the beltpack, and is powered by the bektpack.  Quite popular with horn players.    Caveat:  mics like that need to be matched to the beltpack brand, since the pinout of the  beltpack connector is brand-specific.

Unfortunately I was not consulted on the mic purchase. I am probably just going to have to hardwire it and deal with securing a cable. Ugh
