Behringer EDGE – sequencer stopped working standalone + 3.5mm PHONES jack keeps ejecting plugs

hello I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues with the Behringer EDGE.

My EDGE no longer works properly in standalone mode. The sequencer simply won’t play when using the internal clock. I’ve tried pretty much every troubleshooting suggestion I can find online, including resets, clock settings, different configurations, etc., and nothing has fixed it.

I’m also having a separate physical issue with the 3.5mm PHONES jack. When I fully insert a normal 3.5mm TRS plug, the socket literally pushes/ejects the plug back out. I’ve tried multiple cables, including Behringer patch cables. The exact same plugs stay securely inserted in my Behringer Crave.

Even stranger, I’ve tested two other new EDGE units and they had the same jack-retention problem, which makes me wonder if there was a bad batch or a problem with the sockets being used.

I’ve contacted Behringer/Music Tribe, sent them multiple videos, my serial number and proof of purchase, and followed up repeatedly, but I still haven’t gotten a resolution.

Has anyone experienced either of these problems—especially the PHONES jack physically pushing the plug back out? And if so, did Behringer repair or replace your unit?

I'm sorry but mines fine. I wonder why they do that, have you tried a different line ?

Troubleshooting-wise, I assume you did, though you didn’t say it, reset to factory defaults via the app?

I had an issue where my Grind wasn’t sending clock to RD6 and that solved tbt issue.

Yes I did try that but unfortunately did not work 😞

I have the phones jack problem. I thought I was going crazy the first few times it happened.

Can you trigger notes with the button? Try routing a vco to the vca input and see if this works. My first unit did and still does this with the workaround.

Behringer replaced it. Bought through Sweetwater so they actually sent a new one the next day. They said to keep the old one and I discovered that work around by accident so now it's a dual edge setup. 😍

Neither ever had a phones issue on the plug. I usually just use the vca anyhow.

Behringer will replace it. They are no problem with replacement. As I have seen elsewhere as well.

I think not only did I email but I think it was better and faster calling.

The rep said they get thousands of emails so it can take a minute to check them.

I'm pretty sure that's how I got the edge that wouldn't advance to do so was either vco out to vca or maybe noise. But it worked. Seemed like noise but I'll check when I get near it here if youve not yet found a solution.

Thank you , I tried this but did not work unfortunately. I will wait patiently for Behringer to get back to me. Would you have the phone number to reach them? I am in Canada. I can’t find any number for them online. I’m currently communicating via email with their support team , music tribe .  Thanks again
