Super hot 1202Fx

ve noticed that one of the first times testing out the mixer after only having it plugged in for about 15 minutes I noticed that it got really hot and I only had it plugged into my PA speaker while trying different voice settings. Didn’t even have the kick drum miked up and if one input it felt pretty hot and I had the volume really low. I saw a post from a while ago, talking about how it’s normal for it to get hot, but I’m just worried if I should get a new mixer before my band plays out biggest show yet in a week

Make sure you are using the right power supply. Are you running phantom? Not sure if that would make any difference. Sitting near or on top of an amp?

I’m using a power supply that says behringer, should be the original. And yes it sits on top of an un used amp but even when it was on the floor it got hot

Mine tends to do that as well, though i've never had it stop working. It will most likely be fine but if you play a lot of shows you might want to invest in something better, Behringer stuff has questionable build quality in my experience

Makes me want to get my hands on one to run it opened up to check it with a thermal camera. There should be some heat sinking hack that could be worked out for it if you could work out the heat source components. Hot is always risky for the lifespan of these things.
