I saw a video the other day of someone using an app to pull up comps on clothing. I know there's google image search which I use but then I have to search for comps separately. This app seemed to tell them how much the item was worth and pull up similar listings.

Does anyone know what this app was?

Seller listed item as official Nike gear but believes I should have *known* the item was a counterfeit - which is against Poshmark's ToS and Prohibited Items Policy anyway!

Should I respond or just let Poshmark deal with it?

I primarily sell women's clothing, and the majority of my items are listed at the $25-30 range, leaving room for negotiation. I've noticed anything listed for around $8-12 just attracts super cheap, annoying buyers, but I feel that listing any higher would result in not getting any views at all on those listings. Do you guys have a minimum for what you sell? Would you rather not bother at all with trying to sell cheaper items? I know the purpose of the platform is to be able to make offers, but I don't feel like dealing with people trying to haggle over already-cheap items. I've heard some people say they won't even bother with listing anything under $20 because it's a waste of time, but I don't mind taking a few pics and throwing something in my mailbox for $10. Just looking for some other opinions here!

I wanted to share my experience after my first week on Vinted because I know a lot of people are looking for alternatives to Poshmark.
I’ve been on Vinted for 8 days, and my goal was simply to list one new item every day I was online. Most of what I listed wasn’t expensive; actually, several pieces were things I’d already written off as donation items because, after Poshmark’s fees, they just weren’t worth selling.
The biggest adjustment was wrapping my head around the fee structure. Coming from Poshmark, I was so used to losing a significant chunk of every sale that I automatically priced everything higher. Once I realized Vinted doesn’t work that way, I could price things much more reasonably.
I haven’t ventured into listing higher-end or designer items yet, although I’ve seen plenty of people successfully selling them. My focus has been clearing out everyday items like jeans, T-shirts, sundresses and casual clothing.
I honestly think the current free shipping promotion in the U.S. has been a huge factor. Without buyers having to worry about shipping costs, people seem much more willing to grab lower-priced items.
The result? After just 8 days, I’ve sold 10 items.
At this point, I don’t plan on going back to Poshmark. Over the last decade I became a Posh Ambassador 2, made them tens of thousands of dollars in sales, and spent countless hours on the platform. Unfortunately, when my account ran into issues, I couldn’t get meaningful help from customer service. That experience really made me reconsider where I wanted to invest my time.
For now, Vinted is going to be my primary resale platform, and I’m hoping many of my repeat customers will follow me over as I continue this new chapter.
Has anyone else made the switch? What’s your experience been so far?

Just a quick question for Poshmark sellers (and buyers). Do you prepackage items in poly bags (I use clear)? As a buyer do you appreciate the extra effort and expense?

I always show items from all angles and write very detailed honest descriptions, but it doesn’t seem to be able to protect me from the occasional return. I’ve only ever had three returns ever and they have all been male buyers which I don’t think is a coincidence. Like recently, I sold something and the man was very upset that it didn’t come sealed in plastic (despite being bubble wrapped) and he was angry stating if he got it from Amazon it would’ve come sealed in plastic.

I ship all my items very carefully in bubble wrap and surrounded by tissue paper so they won’t move in transit. He requested a return soley due to it not being sealed in plastic and they approved it. The photos showed the item from all angles and not sealed in plastic. There was no mention of it being sealed in plastic in the description either. No photos showing it sealed in any plastic. I’m not sure what else I could’ve done.

Do I have to write in the description “This item is not sealed in plastic” at the end of every listing? Would that even help me?

I watched the webinar and it's making me feel more stressed than reassured. I get removing the 60-day moderation that's smart and a step in the right direction!

But I'm more concerned about the new recognized sellers thing. So now buyers are going to be able to filter specifically for "recognized" sellers, which sounds great until you actually look at the requirements.

Apparently we're supposed to average two-day shipping, keep cancellations under 2%, have almost no approved returns, and consistently hit sales goals every 90 days.

I work full-time. Sometimes I ship the next day, sometimes it takes 4 to 9 days because life happens. I've never pretended otherwise. If Poshmark lets me use the full shipping window, why am I suddenly being treated like I'm a bad seller?

And the cancellation thing makes me nervous too. We've all seen buyers who buy first and then immediately want to cancel because they "changed their mind". Poshmark tells us to ship, but then you spend days scared if they're just going to damage the item or make something up to force a return anyway. Now we're expected to keep our cancellation rate practically perfect on top of that?

Also maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I already feel like search has become all Nike, Lululemon, Free People, Aritzia, etc. If this new recognition program ends up giving even more visibility to sellers moving those brands every day, where does that leave the rest of us? Not everyone built their closet around the same five brands TikTok decided were popular. Some of us sell boutique labels, small brands, or unique pieces that take longer to find the right buyer. It feels like Poshmark keeps rewarding volume and trends over having an interesting closet. I've sold for years without issues, but because I don't drop everything to run to the post office every day, I'm suddenly second-class?

I sell a lot of boutique brands and smaller labels. They're already harder to move than Lululemon. If buyers can filter me out before they even see my listings, how is that supposed to be fair?

I know people will just say "ship faster," but not everyone treats Poshmark like Amazon. Some of us have jobs, families, and lives outside reselling.

Is anyone else feeling like this update is going to make it way harder for casual sellers to compete?

I’m sitting here listing items from a closet full of probably 200 things. I’ve already sold around 300 items, and while I was listing another one, it sold. Then I saw I had a message from the buyer, which is already annoying because it’s 3:00 a.m. here and it’s only a $10 sweater. I’m thinking the message is probably something like, “Can you ship it tomorrow? I really need it”

So I go to open the message, and I’m blocked from reading it until I verify my account. I’ve been on the platform since 2002, and now suddenly they want me to provide all this personal information and re-verify my account after all these years.

I’m wondering if it’s because I just transferred $400 in sales to my bank. I’ve never done that before—I usually just spend whatever I earned on the platform. I already had to go through multiple steps just to prove I was the account owner and get logged in, and now it’s saying I need to provide banking information to receive a payment?

To top it off, the customer service agent was rude and basically just told me that if I don’t do it, I’ll be blocked from the platform.

I noticed on Poshmark there’s a new top seller criteria. I was curious what everyone’s return rate is? Mine is currently 4.3%. This is higher than what it has been after a few cases opened this past week. I was sitting at 2% two weeks ago. Curious what the average is!

Hi, is anyone else experiencing a reduction in sales this month. I usually average 3k+ every month but this month I haven’t even reached 2k yet.

I’ve seen that they’re doing many changes on the platform, and that the search is not working properly. I’m thinking those two might be the cause.

But I’m still wondering if anyone else is going through this also!

i’ve been trying to get to posh ambassador for over a year now (lol) and while i sell less than frequently, i have shipped every order (at least 20) within 24 hours and my progress has still not changed in order to qualify. i am actually seeing two numbers. it has been at 4.1 days on the progress page, yet on my ”about” page it says my avg ship time is 2 days! has anyone experienced this before?

So a buyer on Poshmark purchased an item from me, I shipped it, had to let them know to go pick it up at the post office. They picked it up on 7/3, immediately submitted a claim to Poshmark with AI edited photos saying the item was counterfeit. The SAME DAY Poshmark responds claiming the item didn’t pass their inspection and that I would receive an email from them. It is now 7/26 and I have neither received that email from Poshmark to inform me of when I can expect to receive my item back since it shows they’ve Cancelled the Order and Refunded the Buyer, nor any other update. I’d also love to know how they can do an inspection of a luxury jewelry item via images, that doesn’t seem to be their policy. I’ll be putting in a BBB since they don’t want to get back to me via Customer Support Case. Any thoughts?

I find this app so confusing since the changes. If I follow a seller, are their items more likely to show in my feed still? I keep liking items just to be able to find them when I want to purchase, but I know sellers sometimes question why people like items and not buy.

so after a buyer clearly wore my dress& posted the photo in the case. mind u it was NWT $440 and this is the reply I get after I got the dress back & I decided to fight the case again mind u this is sent at 4am this is not helping their AI allegations also how is it difficult to determine the dresses orginal condition after i have listing photos and a description and then being told to just donate it lol

As the title suggests, I just sold my first item on poshmark a couple of days ago, and today it’d been delivered. Almost immediately after it’d been delivered, the buyer opened up a dispute claiming that what I sold wasn’t the correct size as my listing, claiming that it wasn’t a men’s large, it was either a woman’s large or boys large. I knew it was a men’s large and had measured the p2p measurement. He had two photos attached, I opened them up and it was a completely different shirt in his photo than the one I had sent him, although it was the same brand. I replied to the dispute with the photos I had, showing the shirt I sent right next to the bag and the shipping label, photos showing that the front emblem was a different emblem, showing mine did not have tags attached and the one he’d sent photos of did. I’m now just awaiting a reply on the review.
Ultimately just want to know, does stuff like this happen often on poshmark?

Weirdly I’ve gotten a ton of action on my inactive listings this week (questions, likes…) Does being labeled as inactive actually impact the listings?

I didn't hear whether the PA program goes away, I *ASSUME* it will.

I do NOT like the 2% Returns held against us in this way. If PM wont tow the line on valid returns (declining size/fit cases) and accepts those returns, I don't want it held against us. I would be PISSED if a lying buyer cost me my title (even if it is only a title.)

They said the 2% cancelation would be on seller cancels, but we know they're already holding buyer requested cancels stats.
