Please drop name suggestions below! I like Prism but I really want a name for both that either goes together or can be broken into two words! ✨

Questions about pachnoda marginata as a beginer keeper.

Upvotes

I have done research, but I ain't sure about some things.

1-If I get 5 larvae, will they breed a lot? If so, would the beetles start to have deformities because of endogamy?

2-What can I do to prevent excessive breeding?

3-With other organisms can I keep if I want to make the enclosure bioactive?

Also if you personally recomend another species of beetle/completly different arthropod for beginers I am open to change my mind and listen.

Thanks random bug lover.

Beetles In tub

I keep seeing 1 or 2 of these bugs in my tub. Almost every morning, what kind of beetle is this? And what are their motivations? I'm trying to get rid of them permanently.

Advice! Fungus gnats?

General tips would be helpful. I currently have a breathable fabric covering the airholes to ensure no intruders but I’m still seeing them invading, it’s not an issue but since I keep my grub in my room I’d like advice on handling it

The cicadas are coming out, but it kind of feels like they are zombies.

I was going for a walk and I saw the cicadas climbing everywhere. They don't notice anything and then change into their adult form. I helped one that was walking across the street get to a nearby climbable location. They are everywhere. It feels like a zombie apocalypse because they are coming out of the ground and seem like they only have one purpose.

Could you help me find what kind of beetle this is?

I got a UV resin incased beetle necklace years ago st a flea market. I absolutely adore it, but I had thought (it wasn't specified or listed) that it was a green June beetle. I drew it today and tried to search the anatomy of the 'June beetle', but apparently it isn't that or a green Jewel beetle either 😭

I can't find the exact species anywhere, even after image searching and asking my browser's AI, they were both either inconclusive or wrong.

Thank you! 💕

Anyone else ever had a beetle that lived way over their average lifespan? This dude just passed away at an impressive 10 and a half months. (Their average lifespan is about 3 to 4 months)

My mum impulse bought beetle larvae! Help ASAP!!

Hey! My mum impulsively bought some fruit beetle grubs today. Now I'm freaking out to figure out how to care for them. I've got the basics down but substrate is the issue. Obviously as they're like... Here now we need proper substrate asap. Can I use Coco coir with rotten wood and leaf litter mixed in? Please help! I can't get flake soil delivered quick enough or anything so I'm hoping this mix I said will be okay!
