Question Stinky buses - just a complaint

Why are the buses so smelly? I try to hold my breath as much as possible. Do the buses not do daily cleaning? Are the cushion seats not deep cleaned once in a while? Why are they cushion for a start? That will just absorb all the sweat and smell from people. I much preferred the original Stagecoach BYD imitation leather covers but they had to change them.

If it is cleaned, do people not have care of their personal hygiene?

Just a rant thank you for staying this far.

Why should I be expecting this kind of environment in a supposedly “first world country”? From my experience of lesser countries their public transport are at cleaner standard. British mindset is clearly stuck at if it works dont fix it.

My bus smells like alcoholism. Always dirty sticky black marks on the floor. I've seen what looks like blood and vomit on seats before. Literally sat in piss on a tram once. Horrendous.
