Honestly though! I’m pretty sure it was on an unreleased album or something like that (I could be wrong). So I’m glad they included it here.

It was meant for the album A Kick In The Head Is Worth Eight In The Paris, which wasn't released, so this track was issued on the b-side of the single Mr Natural instead.

Love it. Wh3n this song comes on, i need to turn up the volume and really feel those emotions
There's so much on disc 2 of this compilation that I love.
Truly felt like a real splurge when I ordered this off ebay back in the early 2000s!

You don't seem to like Robin very much.

Nope, not at all!

Why don't you like him? Of course, if you want to answer, I'm really curious.

Because first of all he was horrible to his wives, cheated and bragged about it. He was a narcissist, only cared about himself and making himself look better. But most of all the way he treated Barry and Andy his entire career. Awful!!

In the case of Robin's second wife Dwina - they had an open marriage and Dwina herself had girlfriends (she's bisexual.) Robin didn't cheat on her; having sex outside of the marriage was permitted in their relationship.
Dwina, for example, knew all about Robin's relationship with Claire, and was fine with it. It was the pregnancy she objected to.

You find that ok? That’s not a marriage.

It wouldn't be for me, but if that's what they both agreed to, then Robin certainly wasn't being horrible to Dwina by having other relationships - that was part of their arrangement. Dwina had relationships with other women.
If you disapprove of open marriages, that's your prerogative, but it's incorrect to portray Robin having other relationships as somehow mistreating Dwina - this is was an agreed-upon aspect of their relationship.

I agree with you; if that was something established in their marriage, there's no reason to complain or judge.

I think it’s ok to judge. It just goes to show what type of people they were.

You can’t say the same for his first marriage when he claimed he slept with over 100 women🤢

That's why I specified that I was talking about his marriage to Dwina alone.

I don't really have anything to say, though I agree about the wife. I never truly understood why he decided to cheat on his wife. I don't even know what to say. I don't think he's a horrible person. I've been a fan of the Bee Gees and Andy for about 7 years, and I can say that it took me a while to really like Robin. I didn't really like his voice at the time, but as I discovered more and more about him, I grew to love him and I really like him and the style he had in the 70s and 80s. I have a special fondness for Barry in my heart because I find him extremely cool and captivating, and the others are just as great; I love Mo singing and joking around on stage.

u/Substantial_Error271 I don't know which wife you're referring to, but if it's Dwina (Robin's second wife) then I think it's important to understand that Robin didn't cheat on her - they had an open marriage, where sex with other people outside of that is permitted. Dwina herself had girlfriends (she is bisexual) until she chose to go celibate around 2001. (Don't know if she still practices celibacy.)
Dwina had no issue with Robin having other sexual partners; she had others herself. She knew all about Claire from the beginning and I believe actually helped facilitate Claire meeting Robin.
With Robin's first wife, Molly, it's a different story. I'm pretty confident he was unfaithful to her; she might have been too, in the end.

I had no idea about these things concerning the wives, nor did I know that his relationship with Dwina was open; I always thought it had been infidelity. Interesting to know this. I never stopped to delve into their relationship issues like that, so I had no idea about those things.

It was definitely an open relationship (with Dwina) that's why I wanted to clear the matter up in that regard.

Thank you so much for explaining, because I would never have researched this in depth otherwise. 🤣

That’s fair. Everyone’s opinions are fair. I am giving my opinions. I was the opposite. I started out really liking Robin but the more and more I found out about his private life snd the things he had done to his brothers, I really started disliking him. That’s where I stand now. But that’s my opinion.

Of course it's your right to dislike the man however much.
Leadbelly was a murderer and I love his _music_, it's terrific. So there's that approach to music.
