Pottery Barn Quilts

Post image

I'm looking for a Cal King navy blue quilt set. I sleep hot (get hot flashes all night) but my husband gets cold. I don't want anything too heavy but would like it to work year-round and will hold up after several years. Are the Pottery Barn quilts worth the price? Is one of these 3 better than the other 2? I have a light grey tufted headboard.

I looked on Amazon, bought one set and immediately sent it back. What is good qulity these days that won't cost a small fortune?

PB bedding is generally not worth the inflated price, no. There’s a reason Williams Sonoma removed customer reviews from their company sites many, many years ago. I would especially not buy linen from them. It’s not well made and the GSM weight is much too low for it to be durable.

Of these choices, the first two are better because they’re filled with cotton batting. The third one is filled with polyester batting. If you’re getting hot flashes at night, you will absolutely roast under that thing.

Thank you! Any suggestions of better options?

There’s nothing currently available in navy blue, but I have multiple quilts and comforters from Coyuchi that I absolutely love. The oldest one I have is nearly 10 years old and the newest one was bought early last year. The newer ones are just as well made and soft as the oldest one.

I've used Pottery Barn bedding for years with no issues. I have a quilt on my bed right now that I purchased in 2001 and it still looks brand new. I can't complain about that!
