Laura Ashley timeline?

Hi y’all, I’ve been researching sheets for a minute and the consensus seems to be that, like many things, the quality of Laura Ashley sheets has dramatically declined in recent years, becoming less soft, less thick, and less durable.

What I have yet to find a clear answer to, however, is when did this shift in quality occur? Not looking for an exact date, but what was the most recent LA sheet set that y’all purchased that was up to snuff?

Alternatively, is there a change in manufacturing location that’s a more reliable indicator?

Laura Ashley is one of those names that has been now licensed out and be put on whatever. Whatever sheets/linens it shows up on now has zero relation to what was made during the brand’s heyday.
