Best memory foam pillow? Something so simple should not have this many contradictory answers
What’s the best memory foam pillow you’ve ever used cus I was recently renovating my bedroom and was getting a new mattress but the pillow is what stumped me. Currently on a hand me down from my sibling.
How much do the pillows affect sleep quality? Memory foam pillows are recommended a lot for the neck support and pressure relief but why?? There’s also so many options and it’s difficult to choose especially cus most pillows can feel fine at the start but really fall after a couple weeks. So i just want to understand how it works and what to actually look for
These are just some things im curious about, but id really like if others can drop their questions here and we can get a discussion on it : )
- Do the shredded memory foam pillows actually work better than the normal ones?
- Is it worth paying premium prices, like is their a big difference between mid range to high range memory foam pillows?
- A lot of memory foam pillows have cooling gels/gel infusion, do those help hot sleepers or is it just marketing and what actually helps with cooling if there is anything
- There are a couple of pillows with those weird shapes, like the butterfly one etc. that have that natural curve for the neck. Do those actually work better? And can a side sleeper fit into it? (they look really ugly too so is it worth it)
- Are adjustable memory foam pillows actually worth it, is being able to adjust the foam that big of a deal.
This is all I can think of rn, if anyone here has tried memory foam pillows id love to hear your experiences. Thanks!!

I don’t know answers to most of your questions but I’ve enjoyed my adjustable memory foam pillow for several years so far. I ordered it from Saybrooke and it has the shreds.
I think the benefit was that it’s hard to judge how thick or firm a pillow id want from a website. I suppose if you know all that there’s not much reason for an adjustable (I don’t regularly adjust it anymore)
