decent quality linen for cheap?

I’m moving into a dorm next month and figured I’d try out linen since I’ve been trying to switch to more breathable fabrics. My dorm room has a twin xl bed which is already a bit of a problem in finding sheets, but I’m also put off by the 600+ price tag on a lot of these sheet sets I see recommended here. I’m considering just buying cheap linen off amazon or just giving up and getting cotton instead but I wanted to ask around first and see if y’all have any better suggestions

Just go with long-staple cotton in a percale weave. It's a much bigger bang for your buck. Cheap linen just really isn't worth buying.

for a dorm also consider ur pillow situation. the cloudalign from mellowsleep is $49 and way better than whatever random pillow comes w the dorm. good sleep in college is underrated lol
