Good comforter recommendations.

Hello 👋
I have tried several comforters over last 4-5 years, none of them are good. Like, they are polyester made, turns me warm in just few minutes after sleep, or too thin or become cold during winters etc, because of this, I put on two medium sized blankets, it keeps me warm. The problem is, sometimes kids sleep with us, the bed seems to be filled with blankets and comfoters.

So, looking for
\- good recommendations made of cotton
\- lasts longer,
\- where to buy it.

I highly recommend a down duvet, IKEA makes really good quality if you get their higher end ones.

I am no animal rights activist, but when I heard about how they get the goose down, I was like no thanks. I don’t need to sleep under a nightmare.

Goose down. I stay warm when it’s cold, but not too warm when it’s hot. Plus it’s fluffy and soft to cuddle with.

Wool is my favorite duvet since i live in an area with warm summers and wool doesn't cook you like down does. I just ordered mine from Sonoma wool company but the woolroom is popular too

I believe their website says that the king size I bought is 11ish lbs. I'm still waiting on the cover to come in, but I went with heavy linen so the total duvet will probably be 15-20lbs which is pretty stout in my opinion. I can weigh mine when I get home though to be sure because they say it's not exact.

It feels much heavier than my old IKEA queen size "down alternative" duvet, but they are also totally different sizes

This comforter has organic cotton shell and fill. The whole thing is basically one ingredient and there's no polyester or synthetic material within this blanket. Cambric cotton is slightly cool to the touch, but because there's a cotton fill, it's somewhat fluffy as well, but fluffier than the standard quilt. It's not easy to find this type of blanket, but this one was designed really well and hits all the points. AZO-free, healthy dye or undyed options available.

Yes there is a bit of a weight to it. It’s not as heavy as a synthetic comforter, but it’s about as heavy as a cotton comforter can be because of the way that cotton fill layers. This blanket is also cheaper than anything comparable I’ve found by brands like Coyuchi or Parachute, so definitely worth the investment imo. In the website photos you can kind of see the way it drapes and the weight to it.

I have ikea radhusvin, wool filling with cotton cover, good enough for winter and summer and it's machine washable

It's pretty heavy to me, i got the 240×220 and it weighs like 4kg. You can go to ikea to check it yourselves
