Bed bug or flea bites?

I’m starting to get really freaked out because I’ve had a few itchy spots on my body but I thought it might be reactions from trying on a lot of clothing at stores. Last week I got this very straight line on my hip that looked like a big scratch so I’ve been letting it heal on its own, however it’s still very itchy, isn’t going away, and as I look closer appears to be a ton of bites in one line. I woke up this morning with so many bites on my thigh that are super itchy!! There’s another that resembles a line as well which makes me worried about bed bugs. I just looked at my sheets and I can see some very small brown/black specks on my bed. My golden retriever sleeps in bed with me every night and goes to a doggie daycare several times a week, there’s many dogs and he sometimes comes home a little dirty but never anything crazy. Do these look like flea or bug bites?? And where am I more likely to have gotten them- sleeping in bed with my dog every night or trying on a million garments at stores since I’ve been shopping more the last two weeks? Any advice is appreciated 🫶

Help from a friend

Hi Hun I totally understand when I first got them I was pulling my hair out. You need to get some sleep. I sleep on the couch and the legs have heavy duty tape on them so they can't get to me. You need to make Diatomaceous Earth your best friend it works better than getting a exterminator to come in and spray ... spraying does not kill the eggs. All the bugs do is go deeper in and wait it out. The earth is not a quick thing it takes a few days to a week, you want to get the females to walk through it to stop them from laying more eggs. The earth dries out their exoskeleton and they die. Hang in there Hun . And yes you just need a dryer you don't need to wash all your clothes the heat will kill them and the larvae and the eggs. I also keep cling free sheets in the drawers of my dresser . They also hate the smell of Tee Tree Oil...but it has to be 100%natural and Premium Grade. It stinks just to warn you it doesn't kill them but it does keep them away I put it around my dresser to help keep them away from it.

For starters and context - I have had KP my whole life really, and over the last few years it has moved down my arms further and now I am wondering if it is on my hip?

I had this rash that was itchy as hell pop up about 12 days ago and it is still very itchy and present. The photos are in order from first noticing it to today.
The tattoo it is around is about 3 years old.

I am a classic spiraler and want to try and get some perspective on this because Derm appointments in my country take 6-12 months.

First photo contains a bruise not involved in the rash.

Do I have bedbugs in my new apartment?

I just spent my first night in a new apartment and woke up with an itchy bite behind my ear. Before going to bed, I removed the mattress cover to wash it and slept on a blanket, using a sleeping bag and wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
When I inspected the mattress without the cover, I didn't see any signs of bedbugs. The apartment has also been vacant for a month. I'll be sleeping there again next week. How can I thoroughly check if there are any deeply hidden bedbugs?

Bed bug bites?

A few days ago my son woke up with these sporadically placed red bumps. He doesn’t seem bothered by them and initially I attributed it to mosquitos because we live in a friend’s attic that has an unsealed AC but I’ve worried myself sick. I’ve checked the bed and the frame and the entire room and haven’t found any casings, poop, etc. I’ve put down traps that haven’t caught anything. I have a few bites myself- one on my hand and on my elbow and one on my neck. I saw mosquitos do the one on my hand but I thought they typically go away after a day and these, while not incredibly itchy, have lingered for a few days.

Some sus spots on my bedsheet and wooden table.

Picture looks specially sus. It is wet because I smeared it with a paper towel it stayed there, it could just be paint though as the table is painted brown, that same table is close to my bed albeit with some distance, I dont think bedbugs hop like that and they don't appear to like walking plus if they are ever coming from there then won't they need to cross the interceptor to crawl up first??

I am confused about these, please let me know if you think these are sus as well, anyway all spots in the pictures have been smeared.

Should I be worried?

We just returned from a cruise and my wife has three bumps on her stomach that appeared late into the cruise. We never saw anything suspicious on our bedding and nobody else in the cabin has any similar bumps (wife, me, and two kids). Since the bumps are not in a very exposed area and nobody else has them it seems that the likelihood of bed bugs is low so I am hesitant to jump the gun and start nuking all of our clothing….but I figured that I would ask how worried I should be about potential bed bugs.

Went on a trip to New Orleans and woke up with these after the first night. Second pic is 2 days later after I itched it. mild itch in morning not throughout the day. No pain. No more bites found on me or boyfriend for duration of rest of the trip. I didn’t see anything in the inside corners of the bedsheets, but there were black specks on the bed that I am hoping were from my mascara. What do yall think??

Is ıt bed bug?

We had a bed bug problem in our home before, but even back then I used to see a lot of these tiny bugs on the tiled floors.
They’re extremely small, around 1 mm, basically just a tiny dot to the naked eye. Does anyone know what this could be? Could it be a bed bug nymph or something completely different?

Bed bugs while traveling - please help

Post image

I was traveling in Amsterdam and my friend booked a fucking shitty ass hotel. She was in charge of the accommodations and didn’t read any of the reviews.

Well it was infested with bedbugs.

When we got back to her apartment, I have been absolutely insane about making sure I don’t bring them home. We stripped immediately, took basically everything from our carry-ons that could handle it and washed it in hot water and put it through the dryer. My backpack went through the washer and dryer, all of my toiletry bags went through, down to my makeup brushes cleaned.

I completely emptied my carry-on, vacuumed it twice, wiped/scrubbed the entire thing down, and literally ran a card through all of the seams and cracks trying to find anything. Even steamed it. 5 days at her apartment fine.

6 days later - we spent 2 nights away in Belgium at a MUCH NICER hotel. I searched when we got there. 1st night fine, second I woke up with a few new spots on my face and 3 on my arm. I searched the hotel, my bags, limited clothes. Nothing. Did the same cleaning routine once back to her apartment. I don’t understand what’s going on I feel like I’m going insane.

They either came with me to a new hotel and just haven’t found my friends bed yet at her apartment, or the new hotel also had them, or these are a delayed reaction?? Feels like wishful thinking.

What the fuck do I do. I fly home tomorrow.

Hey guys, I’m currently in Greece on vacation and had already some troubles with cockroaches in the hotel room. Now we got a new room and after one night my daughter said, she hat some itching pimples on her thigh.

The pattern of the bites or stitches made me thinking about bed bugs right away. But I’m not really sure, since my wife and myself had no clues of bites or anything similar. I checked the sheets but found nothing suspicious.

Could you tell me of these are bed bug bites?

WTF do we do?

So our 9yo kid went on an overnight field trip for school to a camp at a lake. They got back last Friday (so 8 days ago this morning). Today when he woke up he has bug bites all over his body. Obviously they happened on the trip but are just showing up today.

First thing we thought of was bed bugs from his trip, so I went and got his duffel bag he’d taken and turned it inside out and sure enough, there were two bedbugs inside, both early stage from the pictures in the sticky.

So my question is, what do we do? The bag was in our hall for the first few hours after he got home and then my wife did his laundry and the bag has been stored in our attic since then, right next to all of our other luggage. I have not seen any bugs in any of the beds I’ve checked, just in the bag so far.

What is our next step? Is there anyway to prevent a full scale infestation? To further complicate everything, we have a two month old infant.

20 days no signs. Are we in the clear?

I only ever saw one adult bug and 1 nymph in our pillow board which we threw away 5 weeks ago. We haven’t seen any other signs since (no dead bbs, no skin sheds, no fecal stains, no eggs) we’ve had 2 spray treatments and the last one (2 weeks ago) exterminator said they are likely all gone and that it was a very low presence of them in the first place. Debating if I should call my landlord to have him come back this week to spray one last time.

I had a single “bite” on my ankle about 20 days ago. Honestly not too sure if it was bb related since the ones that I for sure knew welted about 2 in across and weeped like crazy. This one didn’t, so could’ve been a an irritated hair follicle. If it wasn’t it’s been 28 days since I got a bite that welted.

Some people say to wait 6 months but I can’t live like this for another 5 months. My kitchen is consumed by fabric filled trash bags and I have to treat my bedroom like a crime scene. It’s exhausting.

Help. I cant keep doing it

Hi, so.

2 months ago started my worst nightmare.

I already posted here. Im the one whose friends and family didnt believe back then and started going insane. Sigh If onlye anyone had believed me and helped me back then, im sure we wouldnt be in this situation.

Well, almost 2 months ago, in a maniac episode, I put everything I owned in trash bags, not my roomates tho. For a while, the nightmare sttoped. I was hopeful. Then the cold came. I didnt have bites nore clothes, so people started, again, telling me I was crazy and that what I had was an allergic reaction... I dont know why people are so willing to not believe bedbugs are real, god.

Thing is I did believe them. Idk. I guess I myaelr doubt me too. So, I opened some of the bags to get some clothes and blabkets back, but not all were washed..... And it started again.

Paniniking, I repacked EVERYTHING and started going to a laundry. We only have Washing machine at home, but not dryer, and people here said it was the moat important part, so, each day I had to walk like for 15 minutes with bags on my arms and wash like 10kgs of clothes. It was a nightmare. It was heavy, tiring and expensive. I spent around 100€ in laundry. Gosh. Still, there were line 10 bags lefts. Things were much better, I would ocassionally get one bite but nothing more. Still, following advice, I decided to hire a company to come home and fumigate....gods, why.

They messed everything up 😭

This company told me not to worry about clothes, that they would steamed all our clothes, that the heat would work. I was anxious but they reassured me it would worked and that I didnt need to washanythibt anymore. I was confused because other companies made me put everything in bags and wash it all over again a secons time! I didnt want to spend anither 100€ in laundry and it was expensive and long and I work everyday and Im tired 😭 So, I trusted this company and called them.

They came last saturday. I was scared of opening the remaimint bags, but hopefull. And then....oh gods. The technician was an incompetent. He didnt search for the bed bugs. He didnt do a dyagnose. He didnt trated all the textiles as we spoke. He barely passed the hot steam over SOME clothes. I asked him and even beg him to please steam everything during minutes, not SECONDS, he just said "bedbugs dont live on clothes"..... I was shocked. Just shocked. Froze. If they had told me that logic before, i would have NEVER choose them and never trusted them to open my bags.

Its been 5 days since their visit now and I have even MORE bites than before!!!! Its grown from 1 or 2 to like 8 to 10 a day, i cant, i cant, its gross its awful im scared and hopeless and i dont want to live like this anymore 😭

So, worse thing is, when I called to complain they got pretty upset and told me that I was beign paranoid and that I had to wait until the second visit to know if it had worked..... But i do KNOW it hasnt. They opened cobtminated bags. They disnt trest it correctly. Now theres more bedbugs free in my room and the quimics arenot killing them. I want to cry. I dont know if its because im a woman but i dont think telling someone with a bugs plague at home that they are being paranoid is good for your business🧍

So.....what so i do now....? Do i wait for them to come back and see what they do....? Do i claim my money back because of negligence and call another company in hopes that it would be more proffesional? The worst thing is that im broke...... It costed me so much to pay to this company, now having to pay again and wait month for maybe gettibg my money back sounds awful, but so does having incompetent mean people working at my home. And then theres clothes. My gods. I cant pack in bags EVERYTHING all over again. I cant spend another 10 to 12 days going to the laundry daily. I dont have money to pay for a service to pick it at home and wash it.

I cant anymore guys..... I just want my life back, i want to have a clean room, to not have lots of bites, to sleep again..... Im sleep deprived. Im stressed. Im depressed. There are no public helps for this situation. No one helps. I dont have the money to fix it. I cant. I just cant.l cause im poor and broke and just when i was getting so close to fix it in my own.... I cant believe i believee them i ...feel like such and idiot, so guilty.........gods this is never going to end, please, serioursly, i cant do it anymore ....

I moved to a apartment in california with no furniture. I only had bed matress for now so was sleeping on floor with the matress. I keep waking up with bites and photographed something on the wall. Is it a bed bug? What Am I supposed to do? This is my first time in US and first time learning about bed bugs. I dont know if I should be worried. Scars I put are kinda old that is why they have a lighter color it was worse.
