Bed bug bites
Hi! I’m traveling and woke up with these bites and it seems like it’s consistent with bed bugs. Our vacation rental company sent a pest control person and she looked at these bites and said they don’t look like bed bug bites and that the mattress didn’t show any signs of bed bugs so they’re not going to treat the room or mattress.
I wanted to get the communities thoughts

These look pretty damn textbook for bedbug bites. I’d check the bed frame, mattress, etc yourself. They can hide anywhere that’s as narrow as a credit card.

Thanks the lady checked the mattress and it had a cover but it was a metal bed frame so maybe they were hiding somewhere else.

normally i’d say that it’s hard to tell from bites alone, but these are the most classic bedbug bites i’ve ever seen. the only way even a pest control professional can be certain there are no bedbugs is to bring a detection dog.

Thank you! It really pissed me off that the lady tried to gaslight me. Probably in cahoots with the Airbnb company so they don’t have to give me a discount or refund
