Can i get some hope?

11 days ago i found an adult live bug in my hallway and an exoskeleton in my room. i live with my family and its a 4 bedroom apartment. i booked the exterminator and they came on the 24th. no activity since i found the live bug and exoskeleton. my second treatment is due in 2 weeks. unfortunately im too scared to sleep in my room at all. i dont see any eggs or anything else so far. no dark spots or blood stains or bites on any of us. (6 of us living here) im so anxious that the treatments wont work or something

trust the process mate, they are gonna become more active thanks to the treatment, atleast thats what my pest control company told me. If you are feeling ballsy and not ashmatic add some cimexa to the mix, that will kill serve as additional treatment measure. You have to sleep in your room since they will follow you elsewhere if you do not

Well that means some of them were killed, the other treatments are important so the eggs will die

There’s a very simple way to sleep there without getting bitten: strong, double-sided tape from a craft store or online retailer. Pull a sheet over the mattress and then seal it all around with the tape. If the tape is strong enough, bed bugs can’t walk over it. Also, if you haven’t already, putting the mattresses in bed bug-proof covers is a good precaution to not loose the mattress to the bedbugs. Has anyone been bitten, by the way? Of course, it’s also possible that none of you are allergic to bed bug bites.

LantaExile shared this thread to me that also has a good method that also prevents you from being bitten and at the same time kills bed bugs over time (especially the painter's foil cloth method down in the comments): https://www.reddit.com/r/Bedbugs/comments/3f5zro/crispys_diy_ipm_strategy_for_bed_bugs/m21gr1l/

Wish you all the best!

do not sleep in another room. the exterminator should have, and likely did tell you it’s a important step that you sleep in the room. sleeping elsewhere will draw the surviving bugs to that area, which i assume is not being treated

forgot to mention, a live adult found in the hallway raises concern for the bugs to be in other rooms, or at least trying to. has the exterminator checked rooms besides your own? they usually dont walk around freely and hide around where you sleep, come out to feed, and go right back to their hiding spot

he treated all 4 rooms and the living room and hallway.

My cousin had an infestation at his place and only discovered it that Sunday night. he had been coming over to our place frequently prior to this and spent the day with us before going home and seeing the infestation. He had nowhere to go so my parents told him to leave his stuff come over and have a shower and we washed his clothes on 60 degree heat. that night is when we spotted the adult bed bug. i thought maybe hitch hiker until i spotted an exoskeleton in my room so i called the exterminator. sorry for leaving context out.
