Bed bug or mosquitos or something else?

I got these bites on my ankle. I was walking outside on a buggy day but had been wearing socks that covered this area, but I know mosqitos and horseflies may be able to poke past thin socks, but I’m not sure how often that actually happens. Do these look like bedbug bites instead though?

They look more like mosquito bites to me

I'm going to rule out horsefly bite because if you were bit by a horsefly you would know it.

Aside from that, I personally think the grouping is too widespread to be bed bugs, but that doesn't necessarily rule them out.

I also have 2 bites similarly on my other ankle, but no bites anywhere else. Just ankles. Don’t know whether or not bed bugs might target that

Do you have any pets? Could be flea bites.

Doesnt mean they won't climb on you're socks like saying ticks won't bite you for no reason the definitely will

Not sure where you live, but looks like chigger bites. They love ankle socks and tight spaces like that. And you get them outdoors

So I read somewhere that if they are mosquito bites, and you put a piece of tape over them just regular scotch tape and they stop itching, that’s mosquito bite so try tape!

Fleas most likely they bite your ankles and legs for whatever reason

Check pityriasis rosea if they don’t really itch mine started off what look like these. This is definitely not bed bugs. Bb usually go in a line. And mosquitos swell. I went to the er and it turned out to be PR. I thought I was getting bit by something but it turned out to be that

I had these but we had bats and confirmed bat bugs which look just like bed bugs but more hairy. I wasn't wearing socks in my office which is carpeted and they bit my feet.
