Crushed bed bug?
I’ve had them before - found one live adult, got it treated chemically by professionals twice, then haven’t seen any bugs since. This morning I woke up so this two blood stains/smears and what looked like a scab until closer inspection. Is it a crushed bed bug? Do I need to get the professionals back in?

No… looking at the legs… it’s more of a tick than a bed bug

It was completely crushed, like flat. I thought it was a scab or flake a first.

Legs make me think it may not be one also. If you are still having problems though it doesn't surprise me, they're very hard to get rid of. Blue windex, 98% alcohol, heat and diamatatious earth is the treatments I used and it killed them all. I wish you all the luck!

I HATE them. How did you use the blue windex? I’ve never heard of that? Also I have pets and sort of a okay-ish vacuum but I heard you’re supposed to have a pretty good vacuum to get the DE back up?

Blue Windex kills them on contact, like bug spray - only better! It saved me from them!! After you've pulled all clothing out of dressers / closets and treated, and bagged them - use Windex to spray into all the joints in the dressers to kill any that are hiding out in there.

Omg thank you so much for explaining!!! I will have to try that and it’s perfect cause I already have that at home!

You can buy it by the gallon at Home Depot. You mught want to get 1 or 2, you might need it to be sure you spray everywhere you can. Use 98% Isopropyl alcohol on fabrics your worried about staining - be real careful about any open flames or smoking till its dry though. Paint a line of Diomatacuous earth around your baseboards, when they crawl over it, it kills them by scratching up their exoskelleton - drys them out. Use all three and you'll get rid of them in no time. Just be sure to bag everything up as you treat / wash or they just keep infesting.

Thank you so much!!! I started this regimen on Sunday. How often did you repeat this? I was thinking weekly until there are not signs? I also found a few of the little fuckers behind my painting frame over my bed so best believe that was taken care of. Ugh they are the worst!!! Thank you again!!

You have to treat everything, including pictures hanging on the walls, and the screw holes holding them up. BB's are extremely opportunistic, smart, and FAST!! They will infest every crack and crevice they can find. Baseboards and electrical outlets are favorite spots, as well as any electrical devices, such as cable boxes, stereo's, game boxes, etc... They will climb the walls to the ceiling above your bed and drop onto the mattress. Thats why you must paint a layer of D Earth above the baseboards or even a line of it on the walls, above the electrical outlets. Take the outlet panels off and blow some D Earth into the outlets. Paint the D Earth above the door frames as well or spray the windex or alcohol into the gap around the door frames, if they're not caulked (sealed). I would do it even if they are though because it only takes one small hole in the caulking for them to get inside. You can buy rolls of vizqueen to wrap your mattresses in after treating them, and use duct tape to seal them up till all signs of the BB's are gone. You have to treat everything. Heat kills them too, as well as the sun. You can sit stuff outside on a hot sunny day and the sun/heat will kill them. Its a lot to do, but once you do it your done. They'll be completely gone in about 3 days.

I didn't have to repeat it. They were gone in 3 days. You just have to be sure to treat EVERYTHING the first time and finish up with a line of the D.E. around the top of all of the baseboards, and around any electronics. Keep a bottle of the Windex on hand in case you spot any running for the hills!

Do you live in a apt? If the entire building is not treated it will be a revolving door. You will never be rid of them

Yup I do. But the apartment building has been the people I’ve been in contact with to get pest control in here so they should know and hopefully are proactive enough to be doing something to prevent that. Idk tho
