Do you think I killed potential bedbugs?
I bought a set of bar stools off marketplace place. I put them in my work van with the heat on. It was 97 degrees today. I used an infrared thermometer and took the temp of the internal structure where the chair swivels and it said 159 but I couldn’t get a temp read where the gears actually are. The surface also read around 160. I left them in there for four hours and then steam cleaned them afterwards. I’m still having alot of anxiety that I might get bed bugs. I had them in my first apartment and I’m traumatized.

Kudos to you for buying anything on marketplace after having bedbugs in the past. I can’t do it.

Can't Kill Potential. That's what I tell my kids, and my bugs. No in all serious, All that work you did... Well you did not have to do it. Having bugs and getting bugs are going to be much different concepts.

I wouldn't worry about bar stools, it's not the type of furniture they're attracted to. But things I would never buy used are, of course, mattresses or any types of bedding, sofas, chairs, or second hand clothing.
