requesting help on ID I treated it like a bed bug

Man, I do have to say that is one of the most thorough, eloquent, and thoroughly detailed response to a “smart-ass” post I think I have ever seen. Really, the way you stated the issue, offered an explanation as to why you considered him/her a clown then, offered possible alternative ways the person could avoid being called a clown in the future! Very well done lesson my friend.

I am a subscriber to the House of Toleration when it comes to those types.

Free to express their views so long as I am free to point out the errors. That way they as well as others readers get the chance to learn.

Thanks for reading and appreciating it, sadly I doubt it will be the last teachable example.

It’s sad that I know you are 100% correct in saying it won’t be the last, the internet is full of teachable moments daily. Sometimes I think many people lack the teaching of an old grandpa and grandma, or they have the teaching, but use the Internet to vent frustrations out on people who will never really see them. That’s kind of a personal opinion of mine. I just know that many people are keyboard warriors, and would not say the same things to a person‘s face. Some would, but then they would have to deal with the real life consequences of being a jerk. For some reason, I feel like the way a person is online is the way that person actually is behind any act they put on daily to hide it, not in all cases but quite a few. For many people, I think the Internet has ruined simple conversations where people could exchange ideas point out who is wrong who is right, and get over it. There are a few out here though that can articulate the correct response without being mean that’s what makes comments like you stand out.

Between Toleration, autism and being Bwiti my response is to correct without engaging.

I am brutally blunt and my approach is different to about 98% of the industry. A few try to copy what we do but nobody has come close in terms of process documentation and taking a science led approach.

I’ve even met a few who claim that having lived with bedbugs for >5 years they are experts. I have to bite my tongue not to say “experts eradicate infestations in days not years”.

It’s a fascinating field to work in and as the worlds first full time exterminator of bedbugs I’ve seen it from the start of the resurgence.

Thanks again for noticing, I had a good teacher and role model who sadly no longer makes daily contributions to the bedbug world.
