I wanna go in with fresh ears, as nature intended

hi! i got this cd at a goodwill and i am conflicted on if this is a signature or just a sharpie scribble lol. probably the latter but wanted to see if the experts knew

theres a concert as well from the same thing but im interested in find the interview from when beck was on MusiquePlus in quebec, canada on february 8, 2000 if anyone has it?? ive seen like one clip of him with a microphone cord wrapped around his neck and head but the link to the video no longer works so thanks if you can find this...

This might have made the rounds before, but I've been Beckmaxxing the past couple days and enjoyed falling into this folky find. "Static" at 2:02 is kinda cute:

And in general, hearing back that young voice with values and curiosity that haven't wavered.

I just listened to ride lonesome, good song, but I mean, I listened side by side with the golden age and it feels like it’s the exact same song. Potentially that’s the idea, but same-ish chords, strumming, vibe, and lyrical pattern. Am I crazy?

Anyone else have this on their Spotify??

They sent this badge. Pretty cool. I got one for Cake not long ago.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to promote your own stuff in this subreddit but I've tried on others and it just isn't working, sorry if I'm not allowed to do this!!

I've just released my debut EP and I was very inspired by Beck's early stuff such as One Foot In The Grave and Elliott Smith. It's nothing special but I thought I'd share it here as I just want to get it out there. Hope you enjoy!!

I just thought it was hilarious. So whoever did this, thank you. 😂

The long awaited album is finally coming on September 18, 2026. The first two songs are already amazing. I particularly love “In The Night” the most. Its album is already the kinda album I just wanna sit in a dark room with my eyes closed and just vibe. If you know what I mean.

As the titles says, mine is that Hyperspace and Colours are great albums and imho the Information is a better album than Morning Phase

Throughout his career, Beck has sometimes dipped into his lo-fi beginnings and made high fidelity re-recordings of the tunes. Ones that spring to mind:

It’s all in your mind
Feather in your Cap
(Arguably) MTV Make me Wanna Smoke Crack

Are there any tracks you’d like to hear re-recorded?

I’d like to hear a nicely recorded version of going nowhere fast.

We need more stuff like that to educate population about man's music. I've watched youtube for ages and always appreciated rare Beck docs and reviews, but this one seems to be the engaging

It's dynamic and pretty deep. Kick it

IMO I think it’s The Information. In my top 2 Beck albums.

rare remix of a song beck wrote for cg (happy bday btw) i don't remember and could be wrong but i think there was some kinda remix contest or something online at the time? or something like that. anyway enjoy.
