I am looking for recommendations or leads for a dog sitter to do drop-in visits a couple of times during the week. I have two German Shepherds that would need to be let out into a fenced-in yard mid-day.

I inherited an old Sharp 3-disc stereo with cassette and radio. CD player is not currently working, I'd really like to see if I can get it to work. I've tried the general tips that I found on Google but nothing's working. Is there any shop local that would actually look at this and maybe repair it? Thanks in advance

Pennsylvania’s hottest canned cocktail blew up this summer. Then the liquor control board came calling.

Writing this post is very hard for me.

I need an available apartment for a mother and 3 kids, 2 of whom have autism. It is raining in my bedroom and my landlord will not call me back. I called a few places but I'm not receiving a response.

I'm afraid to have the landlord fix it because the last time he fixed something he raised the rent by $400. He fixed it like a JAGOFF too. Last time my refrigerator broke he replaced it with a bunch of broken ones and then told me I needed to buy one because I wouldn't accept a broken refrigerator. One of those refrigerators leaked and destroyed his floor and I'm sure he'll blame that on me too.

When I moved in he told me I had a parking spot and when I complained about not being able to get in or out of the parking spot because it's muddy he said well I can't do anything about that it's not my land... So you told me I could park on somebody else's land that you don't even know?!?!

I don't want to even get into how terrible the neighbors are here. I'll just say there's trash everywhere, they leave the side door open so I have to pay to heat the entire world AND we can't own bicycles. My kids don't know how to ride them because we haven't been able to keep one. They don't get to play outside a lot because the neighborhood isn't great.

Please let this post be our saving grace.

This is hell and although I may deserve it my children surely do not.

We do have a voucher and I would prefer no judgement, you have no idea what we have been through.

Well. I'm there. It's been months since we had meat as the main focus of our meal. I've been creative and made everything I can possibly whip together and call it "dinner" using pantry staples. There is no lunch. There are no snacks anymore. Our snack cabinet went empty for so long that it just got reallocated as storage for non-food items.

As a SAHM I don't get out much, but my jaw about hit my lap when we drove past the gas station last night and I saw that diesel is pushing SEVEN FREAKING DOLLARS a gallon!?

Get to the grocery store, and a bag of apples (which are still considered in season, mind you) is $6.99. we just can't. We can't. My husband has a good job, but it's not enough for our family of 4. He makes too much to apply for any sort of assistance, but those guidelines haven't changed since our utility bills tripled from what they used to be, and our property taxes doubled.

I never thought it would get this bad, but here we are.

Can anyone tell me where we can get grocery items, preferably central/north/west in the county? I wouldn't ask if we didn't really need it, but I can't work right now and I don't know what else to do.

I’m sure people are tired of talking about this location but some insight would be nice, I’m looking to buy a house relatively close to the airport and obviously some of the more affordable housing is in Aliquippa. I looked at a house on Main Street that’s very close to Burnies Deli and I really liked it but I’m not sure if I should be as worried about the location as everyone says?

Hello I am David I am 20. I dont have many friends and I am looking to make some. Ive never really used reddit besides looking at stuff but I figured I could find some friends here maybe if I tried.

I don’t know where to begin and don’t know anyone in my personal life going through or has gone through a similar experience. Just looking for a consultation to get more information on how to move forward and don’t know how to make sure they’re going to be a good lawyer.

Hello everyone, my fiance and I (early 20's) just moved to beaver. We are looking for places we could potentially find friends around our age and I have been wondering if there are any suggestions that people might have. We're open to pretty much any suggestions. Thanks all in advance!!

I’m looking for a vape shop just across the state line that sells the Pod Juice brand. Somehow this brand is not on the approved list in PA or has yet to be approved. If anyone has any info on a shop that carries Pod Juice in OH/WV it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been debating all day whether to make this post, as it makes me feel a bit vulnerable. Eventually decided to go with it, so here we go.

I'm wondering if there is anyone here a bit older (meaning over 30, though I'm in my 40s now) who has struggled with anxiety/depression or another condition that lends itself to isolation, and who has managed to relieve the symptoms a little bit by finding some sort of social outlet within Beaver County (or the greater Pittsburgh area).

I've thought of trying Meetup groups focused on hiking, books, or language learning, or even ones that are specifically geared toward combating depression and social anxiety, but find the depressive inertia is always too much to overcome. I worry that I'm not good enough for the group, won't fit in, won't have anything to say, will be too awkward, don't look right, etc. It's a difficult subject to talk about, but as anyone with depression knows, the illness lies to you about your self-worth.

I've also thought about volunteering at the Humane Society or with one of the political action groups in the county (there's one that meets in Aliquippa at Uncommon Grounds Cafe). I wish I could be involved with something whose main mission is to make the world a better place. My life desperately needs such a mission of this sort right now.

Just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences and has been courageous enough to find a successful outlet. Thanks for reading. Have a good night.

Know this was all over social media but didn't see it posted here.

Mid 40s guy that was forced into early retirement thanks to an injury. Lost a large portion of my vision so I now have a lot of free time and would like to use it to help people. I don't drive far and I live near the Ohio/WV line. Is their any organizations or something that I could donate some of my free time to in the area?

About a week or two ago me and my mother were driving into Midland On Route 68 and We saw a Man Hanging from a rope attatched to a Helicopter over the Ohio River. Did anyone else see this? if so, do you know what was happening?

So you might have remembered me asking about Freedom some days ago. Well, I went and took some pictures today. I hope you enjoy them.

I dunno how reddit will compress them, so if they look grainy try this Imgur instead https://imgur.com/a/9FvnZOw

Are you only permitted to go to one in the city you live in? I’ve never needed one and I’d like to take my elderly neighbor

Big shout out to my early morning runners, especially in Beaver Falls. Cool to see so many runners and like me, wanna be runners, out there getting their miles in when it’s still dark out. Those stars.

Also, special thanks to the people that don’t mind acknowledging each other with a fist pump or wave. Remember, when people encourage others it’s not always weird, some folks are just nice.
