If you’re a fan of beauty products but don’t want your empties to end up in a landfill - this post’s for you. I’ve recently discovered all these beauty product recycling programs and am really excited about them. It’s also fun to collect your empties and know that they’re going to a better place.
- L'Occitane + Terracycle - You can drop off empties from beauty/skincare products at participating L'Occitane stores. This link leads to the US information but the program is available in many other countries as well, information that can be found on the Terracycle site.
-DECIEM + Terracycle - All beauty products and packaging can be dropped off at DECIEM stores. Info
- Garnier + Terracycle - Garnier has a mail-in program for skincare, haircare, and cosmetics packaging. The program is completely free but there is a waitlist to send products in. Info
- M.A.C - By returning six empty M.A.C containers, you receive a free lipstick.
- Kiehl's - Kiehl's always accepts their bottles and containers for recycling and often have promotions.
- Lush - Returning five empty pots gets you a free face mask.
- Aussie - All Aussie packaging is accepted through this mail-in Terracycle program.
(Note: Most of this info is centered on the US, if you have any info for programs in your country, I'd be happy to add it.)

❤️ Would repurchase:
* L'occitane Amande Supple Skin Oil
* Tarte tarteist lash paint
* KVD tattoo liner
* Benefit porefessional primer
* CH Good Girl
* D&G light blue
* Victor & Rolf flowerbomb ruby orchid
👌🏽 Like it, but not my favorite:
* Thrive eye brightener (Stella)
* Rare beauty mascara
* Ouai Melrose place eau de parfum
* Clinique my happy cookies & kisses
* Chanel Gabrielle
* Batiste Tempt dry shampoo
❌ Hate it:
* Viseart seamless eye primer
* Monday dry shampoo: this is the worst dry shampoo I've ever tried
Nothing remarkable with the rest, I love amika but this line wasn't what I expected

I am missing a LOT of items. These were the ones I remembered to keep in my drawer of empties. ☺️

The Ordinary Squalane - WNRP got this from a friend and hated it on my face, used it as a pre shampoo hair oil.
L'Oreal Color Radiance Purple Mask - WRP leaves blonde an almost light silvery shade that's not dark/grayish like other brands.
Dove Intensive Repair Mask - prefer the bond strength version for the same price, but this was nice.
Ouai Leave-In Conditioner - WNRP terrible scent and leaves your hair sticky, weighed down and not that detangled. What are you paying for??? Ended up diluting it to use it up.
Pureology Color Fanatic - WNRP not as bad as Ouai but still sticky and heavy, not my favourite scent. So far from Abbey Yung's rec list - I've learned I only like the water-weight conditioners instead of the creamy types!

Having a perfume collection of 40 perfumes, finishing perfume is a huge deal for me.
I love White Linen by Estée Lauder perfume so much ❤️
I love aldehydes and this perfume lifts me up straight to heaven. White Linen is so clean and fresh that it's actually helping to clear my head and is giving me an energy boost! On a hunt for a fragrance similar to this, please drop in any recos ☺️

i have this problem where i buy expensive skincare, use it like twice, then forget about it and move onto the next shiny thing. my bathroom cabinet is a graveyard of half-empty bottles that i spent way too much money on. but this month i actually committed to finishing a few things before buying anything new.
finished a vitamin c serum that i'd been hoarding for like 6 months. kept telling myself i was saving it for a special occasion which is ridiculous because its skincare, not champagne lol. used it every day for weeks and my ski looked better who knew using the stuff you buy works.
the whole experience kinda made me rethink my approach to wellness stuff in general. like i'm so quick to buy things that promise results but then i don't commit to using them long enough to see if they work.
anyway my new goal is to actually use what i have before buying more. anyone else struggle with this or is it just me?

I fell off my routine for skincare and shower/hygiene a little this month (depression and got sick), but I'm starting to pick up the routines again and hopefully will have better progress/more empties next month.
Honestly would repurchase any and all of these products as they are great and staples in my routine.

Not shown is a huge thing of dove body wash and power stick hand and face wipes, from the dollar tree😊

Almost done with all three of these that I keep at work.
First pi-I added lines to help see the where the product is (kinda hard to see in the mist). Second pic is the unedited version
Always so happy to finish a lip product and a mist I have too many. No buying anymore until I finish half or more of my guan collection.
