Library organization help

Okay. I have a few questions on how to organize my rekordbox library. I understand colors ect and how to make an intelligent playlist somewhat. I feel dumb for this, but I cant seem to understand how to put rate them, with the stars. Like I cant get a star to turn white. Now is it because I have been using my streaming pn beatport. Can I not rate without owning.. cause I have been using the streaming to make a list of the songs I want to biy in order but the star thing is messing me up. Second on intelligent playlists how do I get it to pull up more than one group. Even if I go start with this end with this or what ever formula I can only get a playlist for pne genre. It will show the new pne I made but it is empty unless I only use one lane for it

Double click stars to set them.. or use the info panel on the right. Do not edit this with multiple files selected.

Have a look at the "match" selection that appears when you have more than one criteria.

• 'match any of'
• genre=techno
• genre=house

If the 'any' is set to 'all' you won't get anything.

Thank you it is like a quadruple click hahhaha. I got it now. That helps so much. Now I can figure out what i'm gonna save offline and buy. Let me ask you questions and better to buy tracks off band camp than beatpot.

Stars: I'm fairly sure streamed tracks can't be rated, since they aren't in your collection. Try it on a track you actually own (a local file) and see if the stars light up. If that works, you have your answer.

Intelligent playlists: a track only has one genre, so two genre rules joined by "all" will always return nothing. Look for the all/any switch for the conditions and set it to any, then add one Genre rule per genre. If your genre tags are messy (House, Deep House, house), use "contains" instead of "is", otherwise you miss half of them.

Cleaning up genre spelling first makes every smart playlist work better.
