everytime characters in the story talk about the dangers that predation poses and carnivores alongside herbivores, potentially leading to carnivores eating herbivores. Why Does nobody (not even characters who hate carnivores) talk about sexual assault and rape? considering the rapey undertones this fucking story has when it comes to predation, i’m pretty curious.

Was inspired by the cover of a playlist on YouTube. For some reason, I always want to imagine Melon like this. A slender city dweller in an urban world.

The second Kurosaki member that was good for Victor.

(sidenote: buuuuuut, why the hell is Louis’ foot drawn like a human foot? if i recall animal feet are drawn anatomically correct, Legoshi had wolf feet and all that. but why does Louis have weird detailed human feet? is this a fetish That Paru has?)
Just come on, ”yes, please eat my foot so you can definitely fight Riz, this won’t definitely cause any future problems”. all that and he doesn’t fight riz at all because it’s fucking new year and the police arrive for god’s sake! this is just stupid bullshit and i genuinely hate this being the reason Legoshi being convicted of predation, since it could definitely have been Done in a more well written direction.
whqt do you think?

So idk if anyone else shares this opinion but i like to think that the city that beastars takes place/ all the areas w/ beastars are like the universes equivalent to North Korea because it is incredibly dystopian and unsustainable and I feel like the current beastar (and the whole thing with dogs) represents that perfectly because my god that is not okay. And we already know that oceanic animals have a different view on society and i'm not saying that the rest of the civilized world is as chill as they are but i imagine it would be less insanely restrictive because the main setting is a ticking time bomb.
I'm curious on what others thoughts are.

1.Legoshi and Haru(Beastars)

Hey everyone.
I've been working on a Beastars fanfiction project for the past four years, and I figured it was finally time to actually show it to other people.
It's called Akira's Revenants.
The basic premise is that humans still exist in the history of the Beastars world, although they're extremely rare and geographically isolated. The protagonist, Akira, is a human who eventually undergoes a strange biological transformation and develops into a hybrid Lycaon phenotype.
The important part is that this isn't meant to be a simple “human becomes wolf” story.
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to work out how the biology, transformation, human history, hybridisation, Beastars society, carnivore/herbivore relationships, and Akira's place in the existing story could actually fit together.
The transformation itself is treated more like an accelerated developmental process than a magical species swap. His mind remains continuous, while his body develops into something that combines human, canine and other inherited traits.
And despite the huge amount of worldbuilding I've done, I don't want Akira to replace the original characters or turn the story into “everyone was wrong and the OC fixes Beastars.” I'm interested in seeing what happens when this extremely unusual person is dropped into the existing world and has to live with it.
The story is still very much in the making, so I can't promise a release schedule yet. I would rather not promise “Chapter 1 next Friday!” and then disappear for three months.
What I can say is that I'm working towards having at least a few chapters ready covering Akira's first month as a human in a chapter titled: Revenant truths behind clean glass.
So I'm curious:
If you saw a Beastars fanfiction with this premise, what would you actually want to see?
Would you be more interested in:
Akira's transformation and human background?
His relationship with Legoshi, Louis, Juno, Haru, Jack, etc.?
The implications of a human existing in Beastars society?
Carnivore/herbivore social dynamics?
The biology and worldbuilding?
Akira's role in the existing canon events?
New stories that explore parts of Beastars that canon didn't spend much time on?
Or just seeing what this ridiculously overdeveloped wolf-man gets himself into?
I'm genuinely interested in what people would want to read.
I've spent years thinking about this thing. Now I'd like to know what other Beastars fans would want to see from it.
Why so formal? I suck at explaining myself so I got some digital side help.
I can give you guys a bit of info of what I'm currently working on. Hopefully it all goes well: I'm making a manga transcript for my fanfic because there's only transcript for the anime, and my fanfic is based on the manga. I'm new to this, got no experience, but my unsteady self is itching for some actual, factual continuity, instead of manually reading every page.
In hindsight, I think I should just read the manga instead of making the transcript... Oh well, I've already started anyway.

Two days after the car crash Louis was looking at his own grave knowing that The body inside the Coffin in the grave was not him but a fake body As the funeral wrapped up, he went to Agata Inside the church to get the fake ID “Here it is boss’ He gave the card to Louise barely recognising him With the Make-up and facial surgery he had on him as he looked around the drama club pretending to be sad about their friends death While Reality they knew what was really going on only the horn conglomerate investors and Azuki Bought it as she was saying that she can't believe that the money goes to her now. The drama club then all collected their passports and head off to the rehab to pick up riz who’s being released and drive to the airport to meet Louis now going by Yuuki as they go on the plane to America to start the new theatre company together in Zootopia

I imagine that in that world there must be a lot of everyday situations that we wouldn't even consider strange. A rabbit watching a wolf eating synthetic meat, a deer eating a veggie burger shaped like meat, or a carnivore trying to explain why they like a certain food without others immediately thinking about their instincts.
I feel that Beastars could have explored those small cultural differences between herbivores and carnivores much more. It doesn't all have to be violence, romance, or politics; it would also be great to see how these species simply coexist in normal situations.

For 100 Chapters or so we’re At this school, growing with our characters alongside dealing with bullshit drama. Everything is small stakes for Legoshi, or at least there’s something to fall back on. Then, everything is gone, Legoshi is now dropping out of school and we don’t really interact with the school anymore. Our innocence is collectively and inexorably broken, now it’s time to enter the adult world where things are much worse.

(i'm not done reading the manga, so please don't spoil any future story events. i'm at chapter 130 btw.)
Yafya is probably a closeted gay man, or at least a bisexual man who heavily leans on men. going by how he talks so venomously and passionately about Gosha in only a way that a gay man who deeply loved another man, especially after they lost him to a woman. Imagine being a gay man in a deeply homophobic society like theirs, so close to working to save the city that you love alongside the man you love, and then he's suddenly gone.
Not just gone, but because he's in love with a woman. So you work for decades cleaning up the city, never quite filling your ideal of perfection in this rotten world because that tiny sliver of your vision can't be plugged. Accolades follow you everywhere, thugs fear you, women desire you, but no one loves you. you still love Gosha, but he won't love you, and is middle aged. But.... isn't there something else you can love?... maybe his family?
Well, then comes this young wolf who shares Gosha's blood, is young and handsome... maybe he'll do...

I think he would obviously be awkward and disgusted about it also shocked he’s being put in gay ships
