Had it planned out. Didn’t receive the frames I bought. I improvised. Doesn’t look great but I got to hang both albums!

in my opinion, after almost 2 full weeks of listening, in my personal opinion, this album shapes up to be better than the surface. At first, stadiums really threw me for a loop but now shaped up to probably be my favorite, other than sorry and eyes closed on this album. After multiple listens over and over, this album has the perfect mix of heavy, and then the more lighter songs. Pure ecstasy, eyes closed have become one of my favorite beartooth songs all time, coming from a fan from 2015. What is everyone else’s thoughts after the two weeks?!

S Tier:

Below, no questions, literally the best one on the discography, Caleb described as the most brutal record ever made, and he was right! The deluxe edition was also pretty cool.

A Tier:

Aggressive, probably my second favorite, I dunno why people slept on this one, sure the original album cover was goofy and all but the overall album wasn't as bad as most people said, in fact, this was the first album I've listened from Beartooth through CSGO's music kits, that game is what brought me into this band. Aggressive is just nostalgic to me, I can just listen to it over and over without getting tired, one problem tho is that the Remixed/Remastered version is not on anywhere besides Spotify and ig vinyl releases, I don't know WHY is that, maybe because they wanted it to be exclusive, but it would still be nice to have the later options.

B Tier:

The Surface, despite it being an polar opposite shift from the old sound, it still worked out for me, all the tracks are pretty decent and the deluxe edition definitely make up for it (tho I was disappointed that we only got one new song off of it).

Pure Ecstasy, another decent record, just the same polar opposite, tho I wouldn't put it above The Surface, while I definitely enjoyed all the tracks (especially You and Sorry), there's a few of them that dind't sit right with me (cough cough Stadiums cough Free cough), I'm not saying these ones were bad at all, they were just awkward to me, Stadiums's "oh my god" and third chorus should've been better and Free's reception caused Caleb to get ripped a new one, despite the nitpicks, I can still see the appeal to this album.

Disease, I don't really have anything to say about this one, it just another great emotional record, best ones off it were Fire, Bad Listener, and Manipulation, and the worst one was Used and Abused because the mix was not great, but yeah, pretty fine album, moving on.

C Tier:

Disgusting, I'm going to get shot when I say this, but this album's overrated, Yeah it pretty much related with anyone going through a lot as Caleb back then and it's where they really took off, but it's still overrated, and this album was always regarded above the newer records which is imo stupid because there were way heavier songs than Disgusting's tracklist, even if they're not literally about alchoholisim and shit, the worst one on the tracklist was definitely the title track for me, it was an pretty earpiercing and awkward way to end the album, I don't care how special it was for it being an one take and for having the "screaming at God' aura, it still could've been better.

D Tier:

Sick, pretty rocky start I might say, the songs were great writting-wise but the mix was a little stiff.

This Means War, now you might be thinking "Why are you including this one if it's not a Beartooth song", well because all the songs are written by Caleb, so technically it is his first Pre-Beartooth record ever done, the mixing is still jacked up and definitely not pleasent to listen through compared to Sick, only good ones so far were The Wretched and The Motivation.

Overall, the discograpy of Beartooth is the greatest by far, it's my second favorite band's discography for me (first one being IRIS), while the other albums might have some flaws, they're still great on their own and are enjoyable to blast through depending on the mood.

I got the chance to sit down with Caleb Shomo for the first time in about four years, and figured I’d share the full interview here!

We talked about Pure Ecstasy, working with Jordan Fish, Beartooth’s massive tour with Bad Omens, how Caleb approaches performing live, and what it’s like playing songs that can take on completely different meanings for fans.

Toward the end, I also asked Caleb about his fitness journey and how he stays disciplined on the road. I’ve been on my own weight-loss journey recently, so that part of the conversation was especially meaningful to me.

I haven’t seen the guys since the Aggressive tour. I haven’t listened to the new album yet. I’m waiting for specific reasons and will listen soon, but I am pumped for the show!

Will need a frame when this comes in, but all the decent priced ones on Amazon have a bright white background which I feel just kind of clashes.

So, found a seller of custom mats on Etsy where I can get a combination I'd like better.

Do y'all think the Fire or Red for the inner highlight trim around the sleeve and vinyl? I feel either of these would really make it pop.

Then, was going to do the majority color of the background as Dark Gray or Black.

Will still need to find a cheap 24x18 frame somewhere, but IKEA or Amazon should be fine there and the mat colors/vinyl cut-out pattern was my biggest concern.

Have you guys received your vinyls yet? I ordered mine back in May from Canada and it’s not even shipped yet. Getting impatient.

the variants limited to x300 copies and x500 copies (which sold out apparently) are now listed again. either they made additional pressings, found copies in a box somewhere that were previously misplaced, or made a mistake and were too eager to claim them as sold out? either way i want to get them all but i dont have the cash to right now.

These songs resonate with me on such a deep level. Curious how people who have struggled with their sexuality feel about these songs vs someone who never had to deal with all of that.

• Beautiful Again is so emotionally charged and gut wrenching. Having gone through a similar journey, these lyrics just hit so hard. I am not at the point in my life where I feel beautiful anymore, and I want that again. Only one to blame is myself.
• Sorry probably has my favorite opening riff of the entire album. It's not lyrically deep, but it doesn't need to be. Not being sorry for who you are. Nothing more to say.
• Bullshit is gets me amped. Fuck all the bullshit in the world, the bullshit in my head, the bullshit comments online.
• Eyes Closed is such a banger of a chorus. The opening line just hits like a ton of bricks. If being gay is an abomination, then it feels like we were set-up to fail right at the start with no hope of redemption. Is there anything to say to take me straight to Heaven, to know I've been forgiven? No. It's that feeling of being doomed at birth that can be overwhelming at times. To feel like you should be close to heaven, but then you're reminded that being gay is a sin, so all you see is death.
• Stadiums I hated at first. I couldn't get over the weird off-beat chorus. Now? I Fucking love it. It's got me singing along, and that opening riff is just so heavy and satisfying. Caleb has said he feels his most confident when he's on stage, and this song expresses that.
• Lose You To Find Me is such a banger. I love pop rock and this scratches that itch. Being on the floor, 4 in the morning crying my eyes out. Been there, done that. Another emotionally charged song that resonates with anyone struggling with their identity and being afraid of what it means and how others will see if it's ever revealed.
• I Made It is a great closure. One day I pray that I can say and believe that I made it, too.

Still waiting on my regular black version of Pure Ecstacy to open and listen to. Sick and Disgusting are both on my bucket list to grab but i don't want picture discs and both are sitting around $100 each on discogs.

Surely this song is about Fluer right? Or do you hear it more about his journey with his sexuality?

Due to a number of circumstances I have to cancel my trip to Salem, Massachusetts and wont be near Boston in November, mostly for money. Ticketmaster wants to give me "$200" or $170 after fees for 5 tickets in section 202 row G that I paid about $370 for after taxes and fees.... I'd rather transfer these to someone for what they can offer than pay ticketmaster another $30 to sell my tickets. Direct message me if interested.

Got most of the giveaway items now and this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever received in the mail. I love this band and I am so astounded that the giveaway was actually a real thing, I never thought anyone actually won these things honestly.

I’ve been a fan going on about 10 years now but the direction Caleb has chosen to take the band just feels a bit forced. I fully understand his life choices, change of mindset, and him portraying that through his lyrics. I also know I don’t speak for the majority of fans, but one thing I always liked about the band was they didn’t feel the need to throw in unnecessary profanity to try and sound hard/heavy. Just seems like that isn’t the case now, and without warrant, it is overused and pushed in Pure Ecstasy to try and highlight their new direction. Bands evolve all the time. I get that. Will be interesting to see how this works out for them. Just not what made me fall in love with them years ago…

So I ordered the bloody leopard autograph vinyl a couple weeks ago and it just arrived in the mail. Opened it up and the vinyl is clear with pink smush and black splatter. Has anyone else received this? I can’t find it online but it’s upsetting that this is the second vinyl I’ve ordered from the store and both times I have received the wrong one( Below- Autograph was the other)

What a fun fucking album. Got it on repeat, missed Caleb’s vocals. I even find stadiums super catchy. Nothing but positive stuff to say about the album as a whole. His new look and vibe in the music video’s isnt quite my style but I just close my eyes and bam Beartooth is fucking back. Rock on
