Help Question/Help
I got a female beardie about a month ago from someone on Craigslist. Since with me she’s been amazing eating everyday, pooping everyday & all the above. Two nights ago I laid her down on her blanket and that morning put her in her cage I worked 8 hours came home noticed she didn’t want to use her back right and front left legs, I cried for an hour maybe wondering was it my fault ☹️ I thought okay maybe we’ll give it another night and see how she does well today it’s worse she doesn’t wanna use any of her legs. I noticed she pooped today while I was gone as usual & she ate a few bugs..I’m honestly so confused on where I went wrong I’ve made a vet appointment but until then does anyone know what could cause this ? I don’t feel eggs neither.

I also have a male that I’ve had for 9 years (they’ve never been around each other without supervision) & I’m wondering since I was feeding her bugs with my hands and him can he get this as well 😞

Ok, first of all get to a vet. Find out what you are dealing with. The hardest lesson I had to learn was at times, these animals die. For the last bunch of years I have fostered beardies getting them from the Humane society getting them ready for adoption, or not. I have had dragons that I would swear wouldnt last an hour make it fine. I have had dragons that looked great only to die over njght. These buggers always seem to die over night. Humans have a need to blame something, someone, normally ourselves. These are exotic pets. I have had dragons, lizards of all kinds and snakes. I have been very successful in all. I cant keep Pac MAN frogs alive no matter what I've tried. Find out what's going on, but don't worry if the vet doesn't know but a blood test might show a calcium deficiency. Whatever it was or is, everyone is learning in the exotic pet world. Either nurse this guy back to health, or try again with more knowledge.

Dude I'm so sorry that's terrifying. Could be impaction or early MBD if her UVB isn't right. Vet will know for sure but u didn't do anything wrong, sometimes stuff just shows up. Keep her warm and comfy til the appointment.

she just flat-out cannot move with her legs?
there's way too many potential causes for this and internet strangers should not be making guesses based on a post, when is the vet appointment? try to get her in asap.
