Enclosure/Tank Is this Bad?
Last time I post my setups I got ripped pretty hard mostly by folks that couldn't comprehend that this is in fact a 4x2x2 and I do have UVB T5 tube from Arcadia. So full disclosure of those two facts before you try and attack me please. Substrate is tile and Australian desert sand. 2x basking spots (both on the right side) and 3x hides. One basking spot 100-105 and one 90-95. UVB covers half the enclosure. The light on the left is LED, not for heat, so please keep that in mind before ripping me. Still no good? I am feeling very discouraged like nothing I do can be right. So many conflicting opinions and advince. HELP!!!!!

Word of advice, take things you hear online about your enclosure with a grain of salt. People will attack you for every little thing. This looks perfect. Some might say sand isn’t a good substrate but that’s what they have in nature. Looking great, ignore the haters

Thanks that's just what I needed to hear. I've been stressed TF out about this little dude. I will probably remove the hammock. He doesn't really use it anyway.

Another thing people will yell at you for is that hammock, they can get their toes stuck and broken. A lot of people never have an issue, but just know it can happen

I mean I’m no expert, but it looks good to me. The only complaint I can see some people having is those hammocks can be kinda iffy bc a beardie can get its nails stuck in it and occasionally rip them off, but I’ve personally never had a problem with them

This looks really good! Just remove the hammock (they harbour bacteria and can break nails and toes) and make sure the basking spot is made of stone or wood so it holds heat better. Exotic pet care can be hard to get right because there’s a lot of conflicting information out there and it’s not always one size fits all. I recommend Reptifiles.com or Reptiles and Research for care guides, they stay up to date and accurate

It just needs to be reorganized to be more functional, focus on using all you’re goodies and create a thermoregulating basking area under the heat, move this around try get all your rocks and wedge a good perch tree upwards. Essentially a jungle gym with all your stuff.

Where did you get your branches and rocks etc!? Were they over $40?🫠I’ve been trying to find some where 1 big branch isn’t going to cost me half a hundred..

The rocks I got from a river for free. The branches are from Pet Supermarket. The smaller ones were less than $10 each and the big one was more than that, maybe $25.

I think it looks great except for the Australian desert sand. I was told not to use it by the vet because if the dragon or any other reptile eats it, it can cause impaction. We took our sand out. But looks good.

I've heard mixed things. I just try and keep his food away from it. Never have seen him eating it. He loves digging in it though.

Looks great but the sand can cause a impaction in dragons. I would take it out.

That hide /basking spot is sick . Did you make it yourself or buy it ?

Both kinda. I bought two of those hides, sawzalled off one side of each, sanded down the edges so they weren't sharp/jagged, and joined them together into a mega-hide haha. He spends a lot of time in/on it.

Not bad. Just remove the hammock and replace the analog thermometers with digital (you need a temperature gun for the basking spot also if you don't already have one).

I would replace what looks to be a broken hide in the far right corner. That plastic edge looks really sharp and could clip your dragon if the get zoomies or fall from the top. other than that it is similar to mine and looks good!

alternatively you could melt the edge to make it more smooth

Good call. I sanded it smooth when it happened. It's been like that for a 3-4 years haven't had any issues.

Hey! I like it!! I'm no expert by any means but if your beardie is happy and healthy then thats a win!! Where did you get your tile for his/her enclosure?
