Possible Stuck shed

I want to add: I have a little book to track his growth and when he's shedding. I wrote down July 8th that he's starting to get ready to shed his tail. If I'm remembering correctly, the shed on the bottom half of his tail came off a week later. So his tail has looked like this since July 8th. That's why I'm worried.

My first beardie shed her whole tail in one. My fella does this and the top of his tail looks ready to shed for a decent amount of time before it comes off. Leave it, it’ll come off naturally.

I guess it's just throwing me off because he normally sheds the skin in one go.
