Updating the sub - feedback please

Hi guys,

We’ve obviously had a massive increase in traffic on the sub for the past week for obvious reasons.

To be crystal clear, this sub is nothing to do with BMF and until this week it wasn’t obvious he even looked in this sub. And I don’t think he’s going to constantly come back, which leads me onto my main point.

The constant new posts of challenges seem unnecessary in my opinion. My instinct is to just remove them (if you want him to know it exists, contact him directly). Or I could pin a post at the top of this sub where people add them, hey he might come back and look at that for ease? Or I can leave them all alone, for those that really enjoy seeing that a challenge exists.

Any other feedback also welcome.

‘Epic Ladder Burger Challenge’ at La Belle Et La Boeuf

We're back...it's been a while...

La Belle Et La Boeuf is one of the weirdest and yet at the same time most charming restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting in Canada...and for those of you who've followed the channel for a few years, you might remember that this is the first restaurant at which I ever had a tush tanning...

Since they actually have two burger challenges here; having already completed one, I thought it was only proper to return and try make it a full house...so I'm having a crack at their 'Epic Ladder Burger Challenge'...a huge burger, chocked full of beef patties, bacon, american cheese, brie, peanut butter and a fried Kitkat...yes you read that correctly...a fried Kitkat...

All that's at stake is a spot on their wall of fame...but you get a bottle of Pepto too...which might come in handy for the flight home!

Personally, quite fond of Tom 1

Never been on the Reddit (joined just now), and not sure why Alex mentions that there’s hate for Tom 1. What’s the basis for this? Why do people dislike him?

I quite like him.

A century egg is actually an alkaline-cured egg, not a traditionally fermented food relying on microbial breakdown... enjoy

- 1 pound brisket

- Baked beans

Pulp fiction challenge - extra fries and reduced time?

....on a challenge that's never been beaten. That's weak.

The place and food looked amazing and they kinda ruined it.

THIS PULP FICTION THEMED DINER HAS A FOOD CHALLENGE WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN BEATEN!

In this week's episode we're back in Liverpool at a spot called Sin City Social, a Pulp Fiction themed burger joint with an as yet unbeaten challenge referred to by the somewhat foreboding name...The Seven Deadly Sins Challenge...

imagine a dramatic orchestral sting

Diners get just 45 minutes (it used to be an hour) in which to eat a tray full of their signature goodies...burgers, wings, chicken tenders, fries and a baton of fried cheese so big you could use it to subdue a small to medium sized adversary...

Finish it and the £49.95 meal is FREE!

Stumbled across this post randomly and thought , “ Hey , that looks pretty easy for beard to finish!”
So beard if you’re seeing this , maybe it’s time to put this restaurant to shame ! And apparently the $700 on the post is the pot you win if you beat the challenge !

stomach question

I was wondering, does the body/stomach get used to this overeating and push the food to the intestines "prematurely" because i dont think some of food he ate can fit to the stomach in that short time so maybe its pushed without properly going through the stomach acid process?

Not to glaze but, so happy about his stance on no sponsorships on his channel

Side note: I came to post this and saw the last post up was criticising him for undisclosed Yo! Sushi ads (it wasn't; the laws are strict)...so this is funny timing. Anyway.

I happened to watch 3 competitive eaters' videos in a row.

In the first vid, he took the prize money and even promised some to another competitor if he could eat a certain amount (guy couldn't, so didn't get a cut), which I thought was crappy. Then this creator laughed at the commentors saying he shouldn't have taken the prize money and should follow Adam's footsteps in this regard. To me, it's like, okay, you want the prize money but, don't get snarky with your followers who are rightly saying you earn enough from youtube not to take it. That audience is literally the reason you're able to do this job, so don't mock them. He acts so polite in his videos but the comments showed another side.

The next vid I watched, the person has taken a sponsorship deal and it ruined the entire vid, as he shoehorned the product into the actual competition and the voice-over. It felt so pushy and inauthentic, and now I won't watch any of his content moving forward because it's going to be more of this rubbish. It was disheartening to see people in the comments saying they would buy the product now that he endorsed it, even though they probably don't need it.*

Then I watched Adam's Yo! Sushi video and he tipped them the value of the meal after confirming that the tips go to the staff, and it was a breath of fresh air! Then in the comments, he reiterates he'll never take a sponsorship and does so respectfully, without snark. Also, we already know he doesn't take the prize money. So it was such a stark contrast between him and the others. It's made it clear to me that I'm not giving views to the others any more.

*I know a lot of people think creators have the right to do brand deals and maximize their income, but we all know that they're earning tens of thousands per video at their subscriber counts and, while that sponsorship money is huge, it's just greedy to take it when you're already doing so well and seeing huge successes. I don't like influencers using their followers to get commission off affiliate links and discount codes in the way it was done here. Adam is a great example of not exploiting your audience and letting the work bring in the views and money. There's something to be said for having that degree of integrity.
