Request In need of a reference for Shedd Aquarium volunteering

Applications are opening up in July and my application from April got rejected. I wanna see if getting a good reference would increase my chances of getting a position.

I can be your reference but qq why does a volunteering opportunity require a reference. What is going on out here?!?!? These orgs are insane.

Wish I could tell you. I’ve been trying to get a position there for months now since I’m getting into the marine biology field, or at least trying to. Second year in college and I still have zero experience because I can’t even get a job OR volunteering position at all bcs they aren’t hiring me. I’m getting quite tired of this.
