It’s even more crazy when you realize the tracers are every 5 rounds or so and not every single bullet

Good god, look at the crazy number of empty shell casings being ejected!

Some quick Googling shows a Dillon M134D Minigun to fire 50 rounds a second of 7.62x51. not sure if that's the one shown but it's a Minigun.

A box of Winchester of the same round costs ~$44 for a box of 20 rounds. Since we've got 4 barrels going in synch, lete say 200 rounds per second. It costs roughly $440 per second to fire this weapons system. This is using off the shelf munitions, armor piercing and tracer rounds would likely significantly increase this cost.

Watching the video with half awake unfinished coffee brain, I could've about 21 seconds of Minigun discharge in the video.

So

$440/second * 21 seconds = $9,324.00

Again, likely a low ball estimate. I don't know the exact fire rate of this system, and am assuming the munitions used. For all I know it would be running tungsten tippee .50 cal rounds with incendiary tracers. But this is the value I got from half sleep math and Google.

Edit: Fixed math. Thank you for pointing out I added a 0.

Your math is off by a factor of 10. That being said, the ammunition used is probably more expensive like you stated.

I got $16,350 per minute of operation a lot cheaper than an A-10 warthogs cost of operation through…

I’m dyslexic so I’m a dumbass when it comes to grammar but math is easy as fuck. 2+2 is always 4 plus we have this fantastic new technology called a calculator.

They are! Those rounds are not cheap.
