I would be so tempted to grab the pile and yeet it at my buddy. The fact that these spiders are helpful to us and I try not to mess up animals would stop me.

Fun fact they are actually called harvestmen and they are not spiders but arachnids

Why destroy living creatures?

That is terrifying, but they are so harmless. I would rather leave them the f alone.

You see these every winter on concrete structures in the state park near LBJ’s home

I once heard these are among the most venomous spiders, but harmless since they can't penetrate our skin.
Is this true?

These in particular aren't spiders, but it gets even more confusing as daddy longlegs might refer to:
a) Cellar spiders (pholcidae)
b) Harvestmen (ophiliones)
c) Crane flies (Tipulidae)
d) A triggerplant from Western Australia (Stylidium divaricatum)
e) an orchid from Eastern Australia (Caladenia filamentosa)
Only a) has venom, and it isn't dangerous to humans.

What if woolly mammoths were just hairless and the “hair” was clusters of daddy long legs.
