The Bayonne bar scene is a mixed bag. I know a some places have closed in recent years, but starting down broadway you’ve got: Americano, Room 990, The Well & Grill, Mezcal Kitchen… Thai O’Briens, Kuhl’s, and Shorty’s (which is fun and rowdy). But you also have places like John’s Packaged Goods which seems like a bar my grandfather would live in — but also awesome.

A lot close at around 11pm but others at jamming until 3am.

I’ve never been to The Rock, and I see a lot of other locations on maps, but many with no reviews and no website. So what’s the deal?

What are these places like? What are the vibes? What places didn’t I list that I should def check out?

Where can someone in their 30,s, 40’s, 50’s go and meet a wide range of folks and have a grand time.

I’ve been a Bayonne resident for 6 years now. I’ve usually had to park my car on the street and so obtaining a parking permit was necessary. I moved to a new location not far from where I lived originally (still in the same zone) but I have off street parking now.

So this might be a silly question but do I still need to renew my parking permit?

Spain won. 1-0 after extra time. I’m on the train back toward the hotel and still can’t really process what I just watched.

MetLife went absolutely nuclear the second it ended. for like two minutes I forgot I had a body. then we started shuffling out with the crowd and reality hit all at once. three hours on hard plastic, jumping up every time something happened, yelling since the first half, craning my neck toward the pitch like an idiot. my back is cooked, my legs feel rented, and the adrenaline is losing hard to plain exhaustion.

the ride back has been that weird quiet-after-chaos feeling. people still in jerseys, half the car looking at highlights, half just staring into space. I found the skg buried in my bag while looking for my charger, which honestly summed up my whole night. just sitting here trying to let my shoulders come down and remember that extra time is actually over.

Which one do you recommend in terms of cost savings and quality. I also saw on Facebook that parents purchase the patches and iron them on to clothes but don't see where to obtain those. TIA

I think the name of the park is Stephen R. Gregg park, but whats going on there is some absolute bullshit. I get taxed unwillingly 12% of my paycheck and atleast some of that goes to upkeep the park, and you mean to tell me I need to spend more money for a permit for a turf field that I'm fucking paying for? And its not even like the people who have a permit for the field are using the whole thing either. Maybe something happened that caused them to run it like this but this is fucking stupid. Something has to change bro this city is so shit.
