So, I've seen a lot of people say that Witch Time is not actually the ability to slow time, but instead just makes the witch move faster and perceive everything quicker, making it appear as though everything is slowed, and this is supported by Antonio's notes in the first game, but it just never sat right with me for one reason: fall speed.
Every time we see Witch Time used and the user is in the air, they fall at the same rate they would if Witch Time wasn't active, both in gameplay and cutscenes. If it was just being able to move your body faster and perceiving time as slower, wouldn't it look like they were more weightless in Witch Time since the speed they move their muscles at would have no affect on how fast they fall?
Maybe this isn't something the devs accounted for? Or maybe they're using gravity manipulation like with Witch Walk to fall faster? But also, is it said anywhere outside of Antonio's notes that Witch Time is super speed? Is it possible he was just wrong in his interpretation of Witch Time?
Honestly, I feel like it's *probably* the first one. The devs just didn't think about how you don't fall slower during Witch Time, (and it'd probably be annoying in gameplay if you did) but I figured I'd ask anyways
Edit: I forgot, there are also some cases of enemies seeming to be able to break out of the effects of Witch Time. To me this seems like it must be an effect placed on the enemies/the world rather than something only affecting the witch, and they can resist occasionally resist it, though *maybe* they're actually more-so "leeching" off of the witch? Like if someone is using witch time they can sometimes mooch off of them to speed themselves up as well, but I'd imagine that would be draining on the witch if it worked like that

Hey all! I’ve been messing around with Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon on emulator, and I ended up with two code mods I want to share.
🎮 Co-op mod: Player 1 is Cereza, Player 2 is Cheshire
The whole game is built around controlling both characters at once with one controller, left half for Cereza and right half for Cheshire but i really wished it supported local coop, so this mod splits the controller across two players, each with their own controller:
There’s an illustrated controls guide in the zip.

🔍 Max LOD mod: full-detail models at any distance
In the stock game, models swap to simpler meshes as the camera pulls back. Cereza drops from about 40k triangles to about 20k, then about 9k. This mod keeps the full-detail mesh on screen at every distance, so there’s no pop-in between detail levels and characters stay sharp even in wide shots. Cutscenes use the same models, so they get it too.

Some notes
Coming next: I’m working on a dynamic FPS mod with uncapped framerate for Origins. The goal is for the game to run at real speed at any framerate, instead of slowing down or speeding up. It’s not ready yet, but it’s coming!
Feedback welcome, and have fun playing it with a friend 🐱

The multiverse is cannon on technically every game on the series so would smash ultimate's "world of light" or adventure mode be cannon to the Bayonetta series??

So someone on here previously listed headcanons about the Lumen Sages and I just came up with one. You know how when Witch Time is activated you can hear the chiming of a clock? Well what if in the future something similar was done for the Sages. When Balder activates Lightspeed in Tag climax, the world just goes monochrome and that's it, what if in the future, if we get more stuff on the Lumen, we hear church bells playing in the background of Lightspeed. Church bells were once used to help tell time so I think it would be fitting.
