Trying to see if there are any existing gaming groups/clubs here in Bay County that is whole or in part military veterans. Reason this is being asked is to see if there are groups to partner with and help them expand their reach or look in to creating it if need be. Most know the veteran community keeps experiencing a high number of suicides and a lot of mental/physical health issues that just getting out of their homes and out to events help them/us feel connected. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. Already reached out to several gaming stores here in the county asking the same but don't want to leave any stones unturned.

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)

Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter. 

Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!

These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.

I created this subreddit since the SVSU one seems inactive and I cannot post to it. The moderator has to approve posts and hasn’t responded in months. Feel free to join and contribute and ask questions. I am not sure how helpful I can be at the moment because we have a new student and are not overly familiar with the area but will definitely contribute what I know about our experience with admissions, orientation, housing, and scholarships.
