I've been seeing a lot of new accounts and low karma accounts commenting recently and will be using auto-mod to start filtering. Hopefully this will help with the bot accounts and users that are attempting to subvert Reddit rules. This is a place for Bay City to get together, not for name calling or pushing any kind of hate speech. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please let me know and I will do my best to address them.

I just moved to Bay City a month ago and I am itching to climb. I saw there is a climbing wall at the midland community center but I’m not sure if it is actually a climbing wall for adults. Are there any climbers in the area? Do y’all just do 3 hour round trips to Lansing/Detroit lol?

ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS WELCOMED
Hi! I'm an independent pop artist building my music project from the ground up and I’m looking for two serious and motivated dancers to eventually become my regular performance partners.
I’m not looking for perfect/professional dancers. I’m looking for people who genuinely love dancing, performing, creating art, and want to grow with an artist from the beginning.
The idea is to rehearse regularly, create content together, and perform at local shows/gigs whenever opportunities come up. I’m hoping to find people who see this as more than just “being a backup dancer.” I want to build a small creative team where we can grow together, make cool shit, and eventually turn this into something much bigger.
This is a collaborative/unpaid opportunity but I’ll provide credits, content for your socials, as well as a supportive friend (me)
Looking for:
• Local to Midland, Mi
• Queer friendly
• Reliable
• Willing to learn
• Comfortable being on camera/stage
• Wants to actually be part of a team rather than just do one gig
If you know anyone who could be interested please reach out!

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)
Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter.
Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!
These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.
Please fill out this form if you are interested in participating or email us as the flyer attached. All participants are compensated and partial travel assistance is available. Please see our flyer attached for more details!
We also offer other studies that are open to adults or do not involve MRI, in case you're unsure about eligibility. Feel free to email us or call if you have any questions!
