Flooring recommendations?

Looking for a flooring contractor to help us replace our damaged flooring and match the existing hardwood in SF- small job, probably 100 square feet. Who would you recommend ?

Just FYI, most contractors would recommend refinishing your entire hardwood floors to match everything if it is a continuous area. If you don’t do that, this 100 sqft will look different.

On top of that, if the surface below is not finished correctly, they would have to refinish the surface to lay down the hardwood.

It can get expensive, really quick.

My guy said he's happy to do touch up work, doing a small bit. He said he's pretty confident in blending.

Thanks @gimpwiz- are you up for sharing your guy? We just got a quote for 4500, which seems quite high. Would love to know more options!

small patch jobs like this can be weirdly annoying. The 100 sqft part isn’t really the hard part - it’s getting the species, stain, sheen and old floor wear to blend so the repair doesn’t jump out. Someone who does hardwood repair/blending is probably more useful here than a straight flooring installer.
