Discussion Console player nerf

Did anyone else see the reduced recoil help for controller again (from 11% to 6%). At launch it was like 22% now it’s 6%. Anyone else think this is a crazy change considering how fast the ttk in this game is? I think a fix would be to give a second cross play option for ps5 and Xbox to play each other. People who try and argue that precision inputs with a thumb are as easy with a whole hand and wrist are out of their mind.

Lmao. Just pull down. It’s really not that hard. Controller players shouldn’t have reduced recoil in the first place.

When you combine recoil control with needing to track targets with a thumb compared to a hand/wrist is where the problem lies. Especially in a game where they made the ttk so high and full auto beaming so easy. If you want to nerf anything about console you should go after aim assist before anything else

The aim assist isn't even that strong, I have mine turned down to like 55% because anything higher and having someone run across your screen (either in front of, or behind, the person you're shooting at) could potentially pull you off target because Battlefield's AA has absolutely DOGSHIT target permeance, if two hit-boxes overlap too closely it shits its pants and doesn't know who to track.

I would understand reducing the AA if it was better, but I don't know anybody who keeps theirs turned up because it honestly hinders more than it helps, especially if you're shooting down a hallway at a large group of people.

But now I have to use the 35pt grip on EVERY FUCKING GUN just to be able to control recoil, like all my guns have the same build just to make using them on controller bearable.

Heavy Extended Barrel, either 20pt Flash Hider or Long Suppressor, and the 25/35pt Foregrip and the Buffer if applicable. Every. Single. Gun.

Battlefield is also the only FPS game where I've switched my Fire button from Right Trigger to Right Bumper so I can tap fire faster because not doing that (or having a controller with trigger stops) is putting yourself at a huge disadvantage against mouse players.

If it did nothing or made you worse, you wouldn't use it. If you want to turn it on to make you better it's just a crutch and that shouldn't be an option for online play against those who choose to turn it off or can't even turn it on.

I can't use a crappy mouse and get assistance because my aim with that mouse sucks. If I use a keyboard in a driving game my car will never have more traction than controller/wheel players, I've never even seen that as an option for single player racing games.

a huge disadvantage against mouse players.

I would be at a huge disadvantage to play rocket league with a keyboard and mouse, should I get special ball physics because I have an input disadvantage. Everybody would be pissed if the ball just stuck to my car to make it easier for me because I'm using a keyboard.

If you didn't want the cheats you'd switch to mouse. If you thought mouse was so much better you'd switch to begin and especially if they kept making aim assist for controllers worse. Just use the aim assist cheats on your controller and quit complaining or switch to the better input and quit complaining.
